I love Christmas lunches! Here are a few suggestions for sides: prawns, BBQ prawns, antipasto platter, fruit and cheese platter, summer fruits, couscous, prawn and Avacado salad, home made dips with pita chips, fruit salad. Hope that helps

Strawberry and spinach salad. It's so easy and the colors are perfect! Baby spinach, cut strawberries, avocado, and honey roasted cashews. Then drizzle with either balsamic vinegar or strawberry mayo (pureed strawberry, mayo and a dash of balsamic). My favorite salad by far!

I saw a trifle on Pinterest that I'm going to adapt for xmas in individual cups, red velvet cake crumbed, chocolate ganache, whipped cream/ frosting mixture- layered and topped with crushed candy canes

We usually do a combination of hot and cold meats, ham, prawns, then a roast pork or lamb. Then some roast veggies and garden salad. It all gets a bit boring after a while.

But this year we are doing something completely different, a Mexican themed dinner. Slow cooked beef, chicken and all the sides, to assemble your own fajitas and tacos etc. As well as some baked enchiladas. With lots of sour cream and avocado to top them off.

There will of course be your traditional Christmas treats, rum balls and Christmas pudding for dessert. I can't wait!

I always make rum balls, shortbread and gingerbread every Xmas all are pretty easy for kids to help with. I make gingerbread Xmas tree biscuits then decorate with smarties. I can't wait for my lo to be old enough the help :-) he's only 8 months now.

I have lots diff shape cookie cutters was thinking of using to cut shapes in fruits and the kids can have fun doing it :)

Any other yummy type salads u girls have would love to hear them my brother has ms and they have him on special diet can't have red meats or dairy so we need to have few things for him was thinking a ceaser salad but would like few others as well having cold meats and the normal olives, pickled onions, carrot n celery sticks ect

Also is there anything I shouldn't eat as I'm going to be trying to bf when bub is born I don't want him to get belly ache

Not sure bout others but I absolutely love pâté. My mum made one years ago for Xmas and it was the best! Sooooo yum!

Mmm I just like some cold ham, pasta salad, Greek salad, bread rolls, prawns, etc...it's usually way too hot for any type if roast!

I always do a pesto pasta salad with olives, sundried toms, tons of pinenuts, boccincini cut into wheels! Yum

I also have made a Christmas rice salad where you cook dried cranberries with orange juice, combine with cooked rice (juice and all), then add cooked beans or peas, spring onion and read capsicum. Stir through cumin, top with crushed pistachios and crumbled feta. Yum!

9 arrowroot biscuits

1 tin carnation milk

1 cup dried apricots

2 cups coconut

Blend biscuits until they are like bread crumbs, place them

In a mixing bowl. Blend apricots and add them in the mixing bowl. Pour in carnation milk & some coconut, mix until all combined. It will feel like a sticky dough. Use a spoon to scoop out mixture and roll into a ball, cover in coconut. (takes the stickiness away) put in fridge for 2 hours. Enjoy :-)

Can also do milo balls! Replace the apricots for milo.

I've done Xmas ice cream as well- get a good vanilla ice cream and let it melt a little- mix in some of the pudding spice mix and quartered glazed cherries and re freeze- alternatively just cut up red and green snakes and mix them through
