Who's been induced ??
Hi mummy's that have had to be induced were u still able to go in the shower or walk around use ball ect in labour or were u stuck in the bed I may have to get induced at 38w so just wondering and how do they induce u I'm going to Logan hospital I don't no if its different at different hospitals ???
Awesome pink as that's where I'm going so good to no u were able to still :)
I could still feel.... Just I was numb so I still needed help walking but I know I had a partial and was able to get a booster every 20 mins by pushing a button... When it got too bad my lovely man had to push the button for me lol but I was on the ball for most of it I couldn't imagine laying on the bed the whole time I would of been in agony..... And I went to the toilet with the epi too so had to walk (with help lol)
Amanda wow I didn't no u could still walk after a epi how do they do that ? I though epi makes u numb n can't feel anything
Thank you so much girls I have been stressing that I wouldn't be able to get out bed Im hoping to have showers n walk as I can't really have anything for the pain as I'm allergic to morphine and codeine and epi is out as i has previous old fracture in disk L4-5 where it needs to go :( this is my first time so I'm hoping gas n showers n walking will get me though :) xxx
I was induced, but had to stay on monitors the whole time so I wasn't allowed to get up other then to go to the toilet. After I started having contractions and needing the toilet a lot, they discovered baby was posterior so I was advised to have an epi as the more I needed to go to the toilet, the more I wanted to push.. Not such a good thing when your cervix isn't ready. I had an emergency c section later that revving.
With my first, I was induced with the drip because my waters broke and I wasn't progressing. I tested positive for GBS so they didn't want to wait. I had to have a monitor attached to me the whole time, the drip and the antibiotics so I was bedridden. I ending up having an epi.
With my second, bubs was posterior and there was no time for drugs. As he was sitting on my spine, I couldn't move the pain was that bad. Active labour was only 30 mins but I couldn't move out of the bed either.
I was induced 2 days before due date waters were broken and was started on pitocen (sp?) I had a great labour I also had epidural and spent most my time on the ball I was only moved to bed when I had to start pushing... Out of the 2 labours my second was the best was calm and relaxing I can't wait for number three :) strange I know :)
I was induced at 38 weeks, they broke my waters and then put me on the drip, I had to have the ctg machine on for my whole labour but my hospital had 2 portable/wireless ones so I could have one of those on which enabled me to get out of bed and move around and it was waterproof so I could have a shower, the monitors kept moving around and losing bubs heartbeat which was a pain as I'd have to stop whatever I was doing so the midwife could adjust them
For me the induction worked a treat as my labour was only 3hrs 20mins
Goodluck! 😕
Hey hun i had the gel and it bought on contractions but my water broke on its own. I progressed to slowly so they put me on the drip and i had her within 5 hours. I only had gas for the pain. Was very painful but bearable. Glad i didn't go down the road of a epi. I was still able to move freely around :)
Hey Hun, my waters broke on their own but after 24 hours of no change i was put on the drip (syntocin) for 12 hours. It didn't work for me at all, completely unchanged leading to a c sec however while i was on the drip i was still able to go to the toilet, have a shower and walk a bit around the room.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I too had my DS at Logan. I had the gel and was able to walk shower and whatever else, I found it to be a very quick labour 3 hours but intense as I didn't have any drugs. hope my next labour in Feb is just the same.
