I've colored mine since BFing pp. It didn't have any affect on my milk or baby. I didn't ask my dr though. It didn't cross my mind.? I dyed it while pregnant as well.

I colored my hair a month before I gave birth. It's fine as long as you aren't doing it every other week.

Bleaching is tricky hormones effect the result sometimes. I know for me it did.

You can color your hair while breastfeeding. The hair color doesn't penetrate your skin and get into your body in any way.

What about breast feeding? I heard not to do it cause it can affect the best... I want to dye my hair after a month or so after I have LO a light brown color. I dyed my hair black 8-9 months ago and it faded into a dark brown. I originally had purple and blue hair underneath. And before that I had red. What's the safest thing to do when trying to lighten my hair? I just want my hair one whole color and I miss my natural hair color. Which is a golden brown.

You can color your hair. Biggest risk is the color may not turn out right

I'm a licensed cosmetologist. That is absolutely false it's perfectly fine to color your hair during pregnancy. It's only cautioned the room be well ventilated so the smell doesn't make you nauseous and that when going lighter your color may not come out exactly the color you wanted because of your extra hormones.

What about bleaching?

You can color your hair dye isn't as strong as it used to be. If you colored your hair crazy colors blue,red,pink etc. That's deposit only won't do anything to chemically change your hair.

My mom and i were talking and I asked her if I could dye my hair during pregnancy and she said no it could harm the baby. I wasn't going to dye my hair but have you ladies dyed your hair while pregnant? I used to dye mine crazy colors before pregnancy but dyed my hair black a month before I got pregnant for my Me-Maws funeral.

Colts got glitched but she said "I colored mine throughout all 3 of my pregnancies. They say to make sure the place is well ventilated. I never had issues."
