I love my (step) dad lol. I've been having a horrible two weeks due to family issues and having to put down my ferret. I don't see him as a step parent, I see him as my parent, hes been in my life since I was 9 months old. Also, he know I'm posting this lol.
Aw ? I knew I was having a boy since day one lol. But I always wanted a little boy. I wasnt upset nor disappointed im having a little boy. And I wouldn't of been upset about having a little girl. God gave me the gift of having children. I always tell my little brother you can't always get what you want. I grew up around all boys. Instead of playing with Barbies, I was making toy car models with my dad and having burping contests.
What a sweet relationship to have. Sounds like kiddo is in for a fun time at grandpas house. ?
And your comment about being stuck with boys is far from offensive. It honestly shouldn't matter to anyone whether that's how you feel or not. Your talking about your life and no one else's.
We fell in love with Bohdie too before we even knew the gender lol. We had such a strong feeling he was a boy so we picked out only boy names and no girl names and the moment the ultrasound tech said he is a boy, we knew this would be his name. I don't know if it fits him yet (I'll be induced in 32 days) but I think it will fit him perfectly. :)
@hannah I feel in love with Bohdi when my step dad recommended it but DF is sticking with Leo do my next boy will be Bohdi .
It wasn't a hard transition at all for my older sister and I. Believe it or not the first day I met him, He and I shared some twizzlers together like Lady and The Tramp. Ever since, I've been attached to his hip. Also my bio dad, mom, and him are best friends. My parents celebrated their divorce with lunch and my bio dad's family treats my little (half) brother like their own. In our family there is no such thing as step or half; we're all equal. When my bio dad and I come down to Florida to visit, it's dad B (bio dad) and dad J ("step" dad).
Oh man really?!?? I'm totally "stuck with boys" lol. I have 2 little boys. Would I have liked to have a girl of course but wouldn't change my boys for anything in the world.
That's wonderful u are so close to your step dad. I have a step mom and step dad and I'm very close to both of them. I consider myself lucky to have 4 loving parents when other people only have 2.
Op I didn't take any offense to your comment. I don't think people should take it too seriously. So sorry your having some issues right now and I'm sorry to hear about your pet ferret. U are lucky to have a good supportive family member.
I normally try to ignore it. Sometimes I see the errors with what I post and will correct myself.
Ppl aways try to find ways to turn something our of nothing, if you that sensitive mabe social media is not for you...
And one of my brothers have all boys lol and my other brother has all girls.. and me being the middle child I have 3 girls and 1 boy lol funny how thing happen huh lol , and I think it's awesome how you have such a loving dad .
@pp I don't mind having all boys. I'm sorry if it was insulting to you. I didn't mean for it to sound like i was upset about it. I'm actually glad with having a little boy and if I have a have another little boy, awesome and if I have a little girl, that's great, I found it ironic that my bio dad has all girls while my aunt has all boys that's why I said that. I would've been more clear I didn't think about it, I'm sorry.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk

This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling...
Question. I just left my husband for cheating and now hes been harassing me. Hes threatening to come get our son. I dont care if he sees his son but I'm not comfortable with him leaving with him bc hes never taken care of him a day In his life and he might use him against me. Am I wrong for feeling this way??
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
@gg the mother of my DFs son, her husband, DF and I are all best of friends. Her family had helped me all through out my pregnancy with clothes, a swing, bassinet, a bouncer, etc. All I need is a crib over DFs. I'm very thankful for her and her family and Im so thankful for them. I believe blended families can be a challenge at first, but it's also a blessing. It wasn't a hard transition for SS and I at all. Hes attached to me and I explained to his mother that I'm not trying be his mother, and I will never take her role but I want him see me as his equal and she understands. Everytime I go out, I make sure to get something for SS. I actually bought him two shirts from OC, MD yesterday. Hes not my kid by blood, but blood doesn't determine family.
