I had one when I was 7 weeks along and still went camping 2 days later. I was groggy the night after but that was because of the anesthesia and high emotions of the day. I had light spotting for a few days after as well and slight cramping. I took ibuprofen to help with the cramping. Good luck with your recovery.

For my recovery last time, I slept most of the rest of the day of surgery. Minimal cramps and bleeding. I had very light spitting with no cramps for two days. Day 3 I had pretty bad cramps then light bleeding for maybe another week but not more than that. I hope that helps.

Thanks but I have to get the d&c cause it's still in there even with all the bleeding. Which is fine cause I just want this over with.

But can anyone answer my previous question. What should I expect recovery wise?

That's basically exactly what happened to me. The baby never formed but there was a small sac. But I bleed like kinda heavy period&dr said it was bc the lining was pretty thick!! GL hun❤❤

Oh and pretty early. Somewhere between 6-8 weeks but the baby never developed past the sac stage.

I'm having one on Tuesday. The dr said that there's not much in there but I've been bleeding for 3 weeks and the sac is still in there. What should my recovery be like? I know it's different for everyone and the dr said since there's not much in there it shouldn't be too invasive. So I hope the recovery is quick!

Dilation and curettage. They dialtate your cervix and uterus and basically scrape it out. I had one 3 weeks ago:( GL

Basically, a d&c is where the doctor goes in and scrapes your lining of your uterus to remove everything! The patient is under anesthesia.. Maybe someone else will be able to better explain!
