Op, I know how frustrating it is to have a grandparent that wants to be involved but can't be trusted to be solely responsible. Maybe you could have her, the other kids, and your baby over to your house to play games and eat a picnic in your back yard or something. That's better than a park anyway- no strangers creeping around, and those are potty training ages anyway! If any of them are working on that, she'll need to have a bathroom that's quickly available which probably won't be the case at a park.

I’m not letting him go. She acts like she’s doing me a favor by taking him for the day. I’d rather have him home safe with me. My son isn’t a burden to me. I don’t know what she’s thinking that I would possibly be okay with this.

I'd tell your sil, because she may send the car seats and your mil just doesn't use them. How close to the park are you? If you're close enough, I'd suggest dropping off and picking up, but otherwise I would just forget it all together. ??‍♀️

Don’t let your child go, simple. Even if she has your child in a car seat she has stayed 3 don’t fit. Reading into that there will be at least one hold without a car seat. If something were to happen and that child my in a car seat was seriously injured we’ll, not sure about you but I surely wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

My mil and fil try to do this they are all seats dont expire and meh hes tall enough um no no he is not!. I lost my s*** on everyone for it and dh agreed no more letting other people drive them.

Wouldn’t trust someone who thinks not using carseats is okay to bring my kid anywhere. If she doesn’t even think using it is important I doubt she’d buckle correctly.

I’d take my kid to the park and pick up. I don’t let anyone but my two sil drive my kids anywhere and my husband puts the car seats in himself.

There are also laws that state a 4 year old needs to be in a carseatybooster seats or am I crazy? Also all the studies showing how safe they are. Yeah, my child wouldn't be going with her.

I can't believe how ignorant people are. I'd be sending them all tons of information about why car seats are important, including some terrible reports of things that happened because people put kids lives at risk

Children’s lives are so important and I’d die if something ever happened that could have easily been prevented. I told her what if something happened if she had the kids and they weren’t in car seats properly. She just said I know and changed the subject. I’m sure in her eyes I seem like a b**** but I don’t care.

Yikes do the other kids parents know she doesn't put them in car seats? I definitely wouldn't let her drive, maybe suggest you drop him off and pick him up
