credit scores
What is considered a good credit score? I use Credit Karma and it gives 2 credit scores. One from Transunion and one from Equifax. Does anyone else use this website?
I'd say anything above 700
It actually depends on what the credit score is being looked at for. Creditors will definitely look at different things for different reasons.
I disagree with the 660-780 being "good". 660 is not very good. ..
I've used it before. My score was 765 so relatively good!
One site listed this:
Excellent Credit: 781 – 850
Good Credit: 661-780
Fair Credit: 601-660
Poor Credit: 501-600
Bad Credit: below 500
I think anything over 700 will get you most anything you need credit wise, but this does change. If there are many loans on offer for example, banks may lower their standards, but if available credit it tight, they may expect higher scores to get the best rates ect.
Got my first credit card. Never wanted one but this is the only way i know how to build credit and get my scores up. How long till you start seeing improvement to your credit score after paying it off every month on time??

Anyone have recommendations on what helps bring up your credit score a little faster? (Other than car loans)

The bank I wprked at was anything over 700 was a "lendable" score. Most banks look at the transunion score too.
