Flu vaccine
Okay ladies, the last time I got the flu shot I got very ill and was hospitalized and I explained this to my doctor. However, she seems to be pushing the subject trying to persuade me to get it, due to if I get the flu she said it could cause a lot of complications and potentially hurt the baby. I want to hear all of you mommy's opinions please!
Views on getting the flu vaccine? I work on an ambulance and do not get sick usually... last time I received the flu shot I got the flu.

Flu shot is necessary?? I took my son to his new pediatrician yesterday. I loved her! Except for one thing. She said to go back in 4 months so my son gets his flu shot. I told her we don't get the flu shot and she said he has to because I'm having a baby soon and that's what's best. Really? He got the tdap and I'm getting the tdap in two weeks but is the flu shot really necessary? I've always been against getting it. What are your thoughts?

I got mine at about 4 weeks prego. I felt cruddy that day but that was it. I already have a weak immune due to my seizure meds.

My doctor offered me the flu shot multiple times yesterday... I refused! I personally don't get the flu shot when I'm not pregnant so I definitely wouldn't get it while pregnant and I haven't had the flu since i was 12 years old & im now 33. Soooo yeah I would suggest not getting it, its definitely your choice .

I'm not getting it. Every time my doc asks, I tell her I'll get it at CVS Rediclinic or something and try not to lie. I don't believe the flu shot is any good unless you have a very compromised immune system. I don't even get it for my two girls under the age of 4. I'm not a big believer that all vaccines are harmful, but the flu shot definitely does more harm than good in my opinion.

Flu clinic at work today... hard pass. I get so sick every time I’ve had it. I haven’t had the flu since I was 21... 36 now so... no thanks! ???

I refuse the flu shot too! This is my 4th pregnancy and I will refuse it again.

I get it every year. Got it both times with my first 2 pregnancies. Will be getting it this time as well.

I also got pretty sick last time I got the shot and normally never get it... I refused it but am second guessing myself

My doctor won't say a word to me about it with my history of vaccine injury and miscarriage. There have been some studies linking the two to miscarriage. We don't vaccinate my daughter based on family history and doctor recommendations. Tbh, I wouldn't trust a doctor who can only present one side. My doctor acknowledges both sides and is fine with my choice.

I never get flu shots and have been fine so far. Didn't get one with my previous two pregnancies either and no flu or complications

I don’t get the flu shot and def won’t be getting it while I’m pregnant. My last pregnancy they were trying to push it on me, & I still didn’t get it. We were fine.
