Reason for c section
My first birth was vaginal but her heart rate kept dropping as I was pushing so there was a bit of a panic to get her out. Resulting in a nasty tear.
I can't imagine they'd recommend a c-section for that reason alone. Each pregnancy and birth can be so different, they won't know if the same thing is gonna happen until you're in labour next time and even if it does, they don't always have to do a c-sec, it depends on lots of things.
With my boy (first baby), his heart rate was dropping with contractions in early labour and I had an emergency c section.
Went on to have a vbac 18months later.
As pp said, it is always your choice. They won't take you into theatre if you don't sign the papers. Everything is your choice even though we often feel/get told, we have to do certain things.
It is always 100% your choice what birth you have. I had tearing internally (required surgery after my son was born) & I always said I'd have a c-section & the Doctors said they wouldn't know if the same issue would happen again until I was pushing but there was also nothing leading them to believe it would happen (they don't know squat either way) & I booked in a planned c-section.
With my first my daughter's heart rate kept dropping with each contraction & it turned out the cord was around her neck twice & she had to be delivered in theatre. I had 3rd degree tearing & an episiotomy. When it came to having my son he was a big baby (8.8pounds/4 kg) & it was recommended I have a c-section to avoid future incontinence from both areas. However I was given a choice - I did chose the c-section but my recovery from my first birth was long & very painful.
No experience personally, but I don't necessarily think so. I nearly had an emergency c-section because Noah's heart rate kept dropping. I had to have an episiotomy to avoid major tearing and get him out quicker. I'd think it would be almost impossible to say if that would happen with the following pregnancy during labour.
Dear Moms,
Preggie mom @njf1216 sadly posted today that her daughter Reagan Brinkley was born early at 35 weeks sleeping, when doctors discovered that she no longer had a heartbeat. Let's send her our love and heartfelt wishes, and to the other moms who have also had angel babies. If you would like to, please write a message to her on this post or send her a private message.
We are deeply saddened by her loss and are are keeping her in our hearts at this difficult time.
Warmest wishes,
Preggie...

Dad's FB Video!!
Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
I had a very similar first labour as yours & then went on to have a 2nd baby 15 months later with no complications what so ever during the birth.
