Breastfed baby question
Can anyone tell me why my 4 month old breastfed baby has decided to clamp down on my nipple with her gums and tug on it?? Omg so painful!!

I hope not! How painful will it be if she decides to bite down with teeth!

My lo used to do that when my my milk was coming too strong for him, it slows the flow down. Try feeding laying right back so gravity will help slow it down.

I agree, teeth! My dd's have done this when they start teething, I'd get your Lo a teething ring

My Lo does this. It's was bad as it hurts. I learnt to watch his mouth. Baby can't bite with a mouth full of boob and tongue forward. When he'd move the nipple to the front of his mouth or not have a full mouth then I was at risk of being bitten.
Also don't pull back on your boob if they won't let go you can try either slipping your finger in the side or pushing there face gently into your boob i never really had to do this as he'd chomp and let go instantly

Thanks kyper, I've made sure she has enough in her mouth and that seems to be helping

I used to give bub something cold for her gums when she went through this stage.
The aba help line ladies were amazingly helpful.
