SHG Test Scheduled!
Well AF arrived yesterday after having a natural miscarriage last month (started bleeding on Jan 31). I also had a missed miscarriage last year and am over 35 so I got in to see a fertility specialist in February. I have a SHG test scheduled for next Friday, not sure if I'm hoping for an abnormality that would explain my losses or not. Anyone ever had this test before? What was it like?
Nope. I've ran out of tests to do. I've had tons of blood taken, genetics tested, the uterus looked at... I'm just going to take a baby aspirin and some supplements to boost my egg quality and hope my luck has turned around. Just gonna go back in blindly ?. I've been playing with the idea of doing lovenox but haven't decided yet if that might be an overkill. The docs are leaving it up to me. Gambling with life is no fun though! Have you had other tests done yet?
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry you didn't get any answers. Are you doing any other testing?
I know the feeling. I just had one last week and half wanted to have an issue half didn't. The test goes quick and it's really not that bad. You will also get to watch on the screen as they do it and results are given immediately. I think mine took 10 mins but on average is like 5. The woman doing mine just was extra thorough because I was so convinced this was my answer. We found nothing though (un?)fortunately. Good luck with yours! I hope you find your answers. I'd compare it to a pap-smear that's basically what it felt like and then she did an internal sonogram.
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
They are running a full panel of bloodwork (estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, lupus, etc.) plus genetic testing on me and hubby. And a sperm analysis for him. Doing the SHG and then maybe a HSG. Also a separate ultrasound to look at follicle count and check for fibroids, polyps, etc. So pretty much everything imaginable. So by mid May I should know if there is any medical reason for our lack of success.
