Lightning crotch

So I keep having these sharp knife pains in my cervix shooting out my vag. What the heck, it never happened with my first. Happens very often and every time baby is moving or punching pretty low down there. This pain is so bad and I'm pretty much shouting when it happens. So I looked it up and its called lightening crotch. Any one else had it before and how long did it last for you?? I'm only 32 weeks and can't imagine having this symptom till full term ???

You definitely can have them both during labor. In my experience once you are in active labor and contractions are close together, youll focus on the worst pain, not both pains. If that makes sense. Ive had 4 vaginal deliveries, 2 of which were completely unmedicated and ill say i was more worried about the contractions, its more pressure in the cervix once baby is engaged. I didnt mean to scare you! Itll be ok, our bodies are made for this and there is no shame in asking for pain meds.

@bdahlstrom Wait...Do you get it while in labour too?? I mean contractions are pretty awful but do you have both lightning crotch and contractions during labour? Cause I cannot wrap my head around the amount of pain both at the same time. It gets me so exhausted just one after the other. Had to have my midwife check me but cervix is only soft.

I have it non stop... it’s more like constant cramping tho and then when she’s moving about it actually hurts ! Wow ! I’m 36 weeks! But still have a high cervix and closed ! Haha

I have it every once in a while, probably once a week and it definitely isn’t fun to experience!
