Milk is almost gone ?

Hello ladies!

Комментарии

I had the same issue. Just keep pumping every few hours even if you aren't getting much. Drink lots of water - at least a bottle every time you pump. You'll see an increase in maybe 4 days. I just went through this a few weeks ago!! I'm 5 weeks PP :)

The best way to produce more milk is to empty your breast more often! Try power pumping for a few days, and skin to skin all the time! Go on a breastfeeding vacation! :) (take the weekend, do lots of skin to skin, on demanding nursing, and lots of pumping, eating, drinking!)

Thanks so much ladies for all the advice. Mostly everyone is saying

1. Fenugreek

2. Mother's Milk

3. Pump more

4. Drink lots of water!

I bought the pills and the tea today. I will pump every two hours and drink a whole lot of water. I'll let y'all know how it goes. Fingers crossed!!

Following. I have exactly the same issue ?

Pump as often as possible, make sure your pump is set up properly, no holes in tubing and correct size flanges, or try a different pump. Resting and lots of water and fenugreek also helped me.

Someone told me not your fathers root beer is good for increasing supply as well(not sure if it helps, haven't tried it myself)

Not sure if this is the cause but eat oatmeal for breakfast, drink water until you are sick of seeing it and carrots and green beans

Mothers milk pills worked well for me but not the tea. Maybe try both and see what works for you. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and getting your 500 extra calories.

fenugreek 3 pills 3 x a day and blessed thistle 1 pill 3 x a day. And lots and lots of water like 100oz plus!

Fenugreek works really well. I would take that for awhile and see how that helps your supply. Keep offering the breast. :-)

Try Mother's Tea. It's working for me

Well what I did was, I was bottle feeding alot in the beginning, but I got really tired of it and honestly we didn't start feeding till around 6 weeks. I didn't give him a choice. If he was hungry, he'd fight me not wanting to breast feed. But eventually he got hungry Enough and latched on. *advice from someone else* but it worked.

There could be a lot of reasons why he fusses when going on the breast. Most of the time, it has to do with them being impatient and wanting milk faster. It doesn't mean that you don't have any. My daughter does the same thing. How many weeks postpartum are you? Your breasts soften up around 2-3 weeks postpartum and won't feel hard like when your milk first came in. And like pp said, pumping is not a good indication of how much milk you have. Maybe a lactation consultant would put your mind at ease? In the meantime there are things you can do to up your supply. I make lactation cookies (mostly just so I have a snack), there's fenugreek and blessed thistle and also mothers milk tea.

Do you have a lactation specialist you can see? Or your baby's pediatrician might be able to help. I know they make special cookies and stuff that are supposed to help supply as well.

Sorry. Hearing your situation my best advice is a lactation consultant. They can help you get him to latch consistently, then your supply should steadily increase. Google/call La Leche League. Good luck!

But my boobs feel completely empty. Is that not a good indication either? And he doesn't like to latch. One day he will, one day he won't. So I can't rely on going straight in the boob. I have to pump so he will eat.

Pumping is not a good indication of your supply. Your baby could be getting plenty even though you can't pump much. Some people just don't respond well to a pump.
