For those with nipple rings...
When did you, or when are you planning to take them out? For those that already have children, did you have any problems breast feeding after you removed them? How quickly do they heal after you take them out? I'm just not ready to part ways with mine yet ?

Me either but unfortunately I'm having a csection and have no choice but I plan on taking them out right before I go in

I took mine out at like 12 weeks when my nipple got too big for the barbell. I've had mine for 16 years, though (WOW, that makes me feel old!!!), and have taken it out for long stretches of time in the past with no problem. I'm a FTM so no experience with bfeeding, but have a couple of friends who had either no problems, or very little problem.

I've had mine for a little over a year and I don't want to take them out yet ? I read a legit article online that said you can keep them in the whole time and if you breastfeed take it out to breast feed clean it real good then feed so you don't catch infection then you can put it right back in after. Just up to you if you want to have to keep taking it on & off every 2 or 3 hours lol

I've heard the same thing, Justice. I couldn't be bothered to put them on and out all day, but if someone is worried about the hole closing, you could certainly remove and clean.

I had mine in for 5 or 6 years. Took them out at the end of the first trimester of my last pregnancy. Hard to part w them. I had no problem breastfeeding but I think it would be a HUGE pain to take them in and out every time you're nursing (especially in the middle of the night).

I just took my left one out yesterday ??? I took my right one out at 18 weeks. They just started to become really irritated. I wanted to keep them well into my third tri but that didn't happen smh. I miss them already ? my holes pretty much close on the surface in a few days. I heard milk can leak from them though, hasn't happened to me yet. but if yours don't bother u, then keep em in as long as possible. If u are bottle feeding then I don't see a point to take them out. But breast feeding with them I heard is a nightmare. Having to take them out & put back in after each feeding for a baby that's eating like every 2-3 hours. Not worth it to me.

I took mine out around 8 weeks. My boobs hurt so bad and were swollen that the rings were digging in to my nipples. Ouch! I've had mine in for 13 years so it was a sad day to take them out. FTM so I'm not sure how breastfeeding will go.

Thanks ladies. I've had mine for about three years. I feel like they never really healed, so if I take them out they'll probably close up quickly. I am breastfeeding, so I'll know they'll have to come out eventually, but right now they aren't bothering me at all. Just wanted to know if I take them out will I start leaking.

Mine are still in. Hasn't been a problem yet. I'm actually looking forward to saying goodbye to mine! They were never my favorite piercings.
