Update part two:

The doctor just called and said there aren't any abnormalities at this point. Her eyes are still very premature, as expected and they're gonna follow up in a week.

Now, I get to be a nervous wreck again next week! Yay...

when they check her eyes, don't look momma. I hated it so bad when I watched. I just wanted to pick my baby up and leave.

That's amazing :) the eye exam is pretty crazy, I won't lie, but honestly the babies barely notice :) they are so numb they don't feel it. My baby girl got a little upset with them checking the second eye cause she was just done with it. It will be okay :):) sending good vibes

Haha Jessica I didnt know any better!! No one had told me prior to it! All of a sudden AFTER it when other nurses had heard I was in there is when they were all "omg no you shouldnt have stayed!" haha THANKS A LOT GALS! I know that now lol!!

She's beautiful & looking really healthy :) I couldn't be in the room either!! Enjoy those cuddles after though :) will keep this amazing girl in my thoughts!!

@abaua3 The pins help keep the CPAP in place. It looks scary, but it's just holding the rubber bands in place.

@mweaver1232 I will NOT be in the room during the exam. You are brave. As much as I would like to be there for her, I don't think they'd let me, nor do I think I could handle it. I'll be there to snuggle her close when it's all over! ???

Wonderful news!!! I'm not sure if you are there in her room with her all day or not, but I highly recommend NOT being in there when they do her eye exam. For some dumb reason, they let me stay and didnt really suggest that I step out. Its just something an already emotional mom shouldn't have to sit and watch. You are SO right though, its what they need and its the best thing for them...but I would step out and grab a bite to eat or something!
