I was charged 25$ a day for an in home daycare. So I'd pay 100-125$ a week depending if he went 4 or 5 days.

Please find out who else has access to her home during the day and do background checks on all of them. Unfortunately, people are not always who they seem to be. In home daycares do not have the oversight that a daycare center has. So it is up to you to be vigilant about your child's care.

I started Nannying when the baby was 3 months old and I was paid $500 weekly for those same exact hours.

Oh well that's good that u know someone who uses her services. It's always good to have those recommendations from someone u trust. To be honest that sounds pretty cheap to me for the amount of time she's watching your child but that's great for u. I used to watch a former coworker of mines child and I charged her 10 dollars an hour. So sounds like your getting a great deal there

Yea I know what you mean but I do want her to watch my baby because she literally lives like 5 mins from my job and I'll be going everyday during my lunch to be with her. My coworker has been knowing her for years and has been taking care of her daughter for 2 years now. I have been over to her house several times to talk to her and get to know her better and to be honest she seems like a trustworthy person or else I wouldn't be leaving my child with her, but I will try to look into her driving record thank you for the input!

I'm not sure, just saw another PP mention it and since you're okay with your child traveling with this person everyday then I would agree. I personally don't think I'd be okay with this unless it was a family member and not very often. I get paranoid about going out too many times though.

At pp thank you. I sure will, but how do I do that though? Do I ask her or do I look online? How does that work?

Then yes, you definitely need to look into her driving record.

I'm sure she can put my baby in the car seat and take her with her. I don't think that's a problem.

How will she watch your child til the evening but still pick up another child from school? And possibly have to take them home also if they leave before your child.

Here it's $130 a week for a baby who isn't potty trained and I'm bordering Texas in the Permian Basin area.

Thank you ladies!

At pp she doesn't like to give a price because she feels that not everyone can pay the same thing. She's just trying to be considerate I guess.

My coworker pays her $150 per week as well but she only watches her daughter from 8 am through 2 pm and she also takes care of another little girl and I believe that mom pays her $180 per week but it's because she also picks up her son from school and takes them to their house.

Did you ask her why she doesn't have a set price? Seems off. Every childcare provider that has themselves together would have a price. I would think that was weird.

CPR certified! Yes! Very important.

Babysitter.. or childcare provider ..(licensed, cpr chokesaver certified) someone who will review and implement age appropriate developmental guidelines into the routine...

I'd pay both very different amounts when caring for my child.

I pay the babysitter 50 for a few hours that includes child napping and access to food and internet ?

Here for a baby in diapers for an at home daycare it's $25- $30 a day

Daycare here (central Illinois) at a licensed facility is around $250 a week.

That averages out to $3.33/hr. If she's charging the other parents roughly the same amount she's making around $10/hr. I'd say that's more than reasonable for childcare. Make sure that you have done a full background check on her and anyone else that frequents the home. I would also check her driving record just in case. Make sure that she is licensed and that her home is childproofed. Your baby can't talk yet, so it's important that you feel very safe with everyone she will be in contact with throughout the day.

I live in Texas and yes she does care for 2 other little girls.

She said to give her whatever I could. She didn't want to give me a specific price so I said if she was ok with $130 a week then she said $150 would be fine lol I'm just not sure why she made me tell her a price though, but $150 seems fair to me I just wanted to see what other moms here pay.

I pay mine $20 a day. 3 × a week but she only watches him for 2 1/2 hours.

Are you talking about a nanny at your house or a child care provider in her own home?

Ответить

No less than $10 an hour.

Someone with experience is going to charge more though. I was a nanny for 10 yrs and by the end of my run I wouldn't work for less than $15, but my usual was $20 an hour. But, I also did housework and made dinner so all parents had to do was come home and enjoy their kids.

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?
