Me! My cervix is soft and thin but not dilated at all. I'm getting induced next week because of gestational diabetes so they're hoping one dose of cervadil will get me going. But a soft cervix is a step in the right direction

I'm in the same boat I'm not dilated at all but my cervix is soft which is a good thing.

My doctor told me my cervix was soft last week but I have no dilation yet either. I am Almost 39

I'm 39 weeks and have a soft cervix but no dilation. Had two membrane sweeps already and nothing ?

Me! 40+6 and no dilation. Cervix is very soft but there's absolutely no dilation or so doctor says and it's been this way for 5 weeks!! So tired of my doctor saying "oh. You got another week at least but soon.. your cervix is ready we are just waiting on you to dilate. You're a first time mom." I swear I nearly killed him last week. Luckily husband saved him from my wrath. I just want him to stop saying the first time mom crap and guessing. I'd rather not have a date that way the disappointment isn't there when it doesn't go that way. (Sorry for the rant- its been building. )

So update..i went to doctors appointment this morning and I came in with contractions that were again like 3 to 5 minutes apart. He checked me and I am 1/2 cm dialated and effaced. He told me if contractions get more painful then to call him.

I have no clue what to do

See I am the opposite! I'm dilated 3cm but only 50% effaced. Because of the last measurement of my baby at 38 weeks was 7lbs 13oz they are inducing me on my due date 07/25. Really praying this kid shows up before then. I have had two unsuccessful membrane sweeps ?
