How do you know you're going into labor??
This is a really silly question, but I'm a FTM. I was wondering what contractions feel like or when you know it's time? Some people told me that you'll just know. What does that mean?
What do YOU judge Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?
First pregnancy symptom Do you know what the very first pregnancy symptom you ever had was? That actually convinced you that you were pregnant.
What is your first name? We all know our baby's name but what is your first name? I want to know you ladies a little better ?

In my birthing class they said that contractions will be consistent and get stronger. Once they are four minutes apart and one minute long, you need to go to the hospital. If they are sporadic, it is not labor.

That's true, you don't always know. My sister went to her doc appt with her first at 40 weeks and he sent her over because she was 5-6cm. She had went to work that day and didn't feel anything. By the time she got there she was ready to push (like an hr later) she had no IVs and her paperwork wasn't done, no Epi. She didnt feel a thing until it was time to push. With my first my water broke. With my second I was having tiny contractions felt like period cramps so my doc induced but I wasn't even 39 weeks so I think that was to benefit his schedule and he could since my son was super early. It honestly was just BH.

Mine feel like stomach cramps (when ur ill), period pains n back ache all at the same time. Its moves from front to back or vice versa. You can sometimes feel belly going hard.

With my first baby, I didn't know I was in labor. I was expecting "contractions" and I was getting cramps like during my period all day long. At night they became very consistent and super intense so I decided to call the doc. They sent me to the hospital, and I got there 8cm dilated already...
So for me the "you'll know" didn't work LOL. I did know but once they were very painful.

My doc said it might feel like someone is reaching up, grabbing and pulling your soul to your toes.
I'm like "oh... sounds like fun". Lol

Labour started out for me like having period cramps. Then I had bloody show and lost my mucous plug. I had contractions all night. By 7:30 am, they were 4 minutes apart and lasting about a minute, so I knew active labour was starting.

I was Induced last time and dilated to 8cm before I actually was confirmed in labour. I was still questioning the pains as to whether or not it was real labour. You don't always just know

It sucks to just hear "you'll know" because it doesn't help you know what to look for, but really you will know when it's real. It's not just about the physical contractions and how they feel, it's instinctual as well. Try not to stress over it and trust that when it happens you'll be able to recognize it even if you've never experienced it before.

You'll just know. The pain will start off with mild cramps and get worse and be really painful and they are consistent unlike Braxton hicks.

You will know. They'll likely become consistent, more painful, and sometimes closer together depending on how far apart they are when they start.
