Job interview while pregnant

Job interview while pregnant

I had a couple job interviews this week, luckily I'm not showing much, but has anyone been hired while being pregnant or interviewed while pregnant?

Congrats on the job that's so exciting!! It's illegal for them to not hire you because you are pregnant so don't let them try to tell you that they don't need you anymore since they have found out your pregnant! If they do, I'd report them asap!

I wanted a seasonal job when i was pregnant with my first daughter so i applied at kohls. I had gotten hired and when they called to tell me the day i start i told them i was 6 months pregnant and never heard back from them after that. I called everyday for a week and the manager wouldn't call me back or talk to me. Some people are just crappy like that though dont worry it doesnt happen to everyone!

I interviewed at 19 weeks, was able to wear a shirt that hid my tummy and wore pants that helped hide it too. I'm currently a member of the team at 22+5 and they know now are are so very supportive!

I interviewed for a job at 17 weeks told them once they made an offer. I was nervous but they were understanding they said that they were okay with it because they rather had the right person then just filling the position. I started a week later and now have been there for 3 weeks. I actually just told my other co-workers today so we can start planning for me to be out. Good luck

I was 9 months pregnant when I got interviewed for my job. They wanted training to start April 1st and I was due April 3rd. They were very understanding and said they would work it out. They had another training 8 weeks later in a city 90 minutes away, and when I voiced concerned about the travel, they delayed by start date another month so that I could go to a training much closer. This was a government job though, do not sure how a regular job would feel

I had an interview with a new jon right when I first found out. it's the job of a lifetime and i found it best to just be honest right away bc I didn't think it was fair to lie or hide it so I told them and explained that I didn't wanna keep that kinda thing a secret in case it wouldn't be best for what they are looking for and I think it really was the right thing to do. they still wanted to hire me, just waiting for them to decide whether they want me before or after maternity leave. just be honest, they will find that to be a good quality.
