Egg retrieval and fertilization report!!
Hi ladies! Just go my fertilization report from my egg retrieval yesterday. We got 27 eggs and 24 were mature! We decided to only fertilize 10 and freeze the remaining. So when I got the call today all 10 fertilized!! We won't hear any other updates until day 5 which is Saturday and I'm super hopeful! We are hoping to have 4 or 5 blasts to freeze for our FET next cycle. Eek! I can't wait.
Egg retrieval Now on my way home from egg retrieval. holy cow that hurt so bad!!! I'm sure they didn't give me enough sedation. Also had gas and air. They got 24 eggs. they are going to fertilise half and freeze tomorrow and the rest they will fertilise and hopefully wait till they get to blastocyst before freezing. I have OHSS so I have medication for that. And I have to wait a minimum of 2 months before they will allow me to transfer.
Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
I got 1 I'm 38 years old. 1st IVF. Retrieved 14 eggs, 12 mature, 8 fertilized, 3 made it to day 5, 3 PGS tested, 15 days later....then there was 1 normal. I'm so very excited to have the 1. My ❤ is full of hope!

That's fantastic!
It took a week for my bloat to go down. I drank a lot of water and took painkillers when I felt really sore. Shame rest up, your ovaries are just swollen and they've been poked at.

@adwells we intend to use all embryos we create. Because of your religious beliefs we consider each embryo one of our children and we couldn't bear the thought of having our children frozen for eternity or having to discard them. By only fertilizing 10 we hope to get 3 maybe 4 embryos and will transfer them all eventually. If none of the take we will then have the opportunity to fertilize more of our frozen eggs. We chose not to create an embryo burden that we would then have to ethically decide what to do with. We only want 2-3 more children in addition to our beautiful daughter we were blessed with through adoption. Thank you so much for your question. I appreciate a healthy curiosity ?

And I had a rough egg retrieval recovery as well. The only thing that kept me going is knowing I was one step closer to getting my baby ?
