I liked pampers when my son was younger but switched to Kirkland (costco brand) when he was older and loved them along with huggies. I also have recently tried target brand up & up and liked them.
I personally hate luvs and parents choice at least for toddlers. I also don't like pampers for toddlers because they don't have tge extra strip of velcro so they don't say in place as well as as Kirkland and huggies
I'm going to try a mix of Bambo Nature, Naty, and Honest for the newborn stage (all have far fewer chemicals than the more common brands), then once I feel recovered enough and used to having a baby (first time mum?) we'll switch to cloth! I actually can't wait to put our little guy in cloth diapers ?
Depends on the baby. With our first pretty much anything but huggies worked. She would blow out everytime. But I had friends that swore by huggies. Then our second we tried a lot of the more “natural” brands and cloth. The natural brands (honest, 7th generation, babyganics) worked fine, maybe not quite as absorbent as the pampers or luvs. But honest overnights worked well. Cloth are hands down my favorite for the day though.
Definitely depends on thr baby. My 1st we were mostly pampers before switching to cloth. 2nd and 3rd we were mostly huggies. Target brand are also awesome unless youve got a heavy wetter then they sag so quickly which is just gross and even walmart brand have stepped up in quality. My only negative have ever been Luvs, every baby ive used them ob enddd up with bad chemical burns within minutes of wearing.
It’ll be all depending on baby. It’s safe to get small packs of every brand both newborn and size 1.
Personally my son is not so sensitive when it comes to diapers. At the same time I know a lot of babies who get chemical reactions and rashes to different brands of diapers. We use LUVS. But for wipes we have to use sensitive. But yeah they all perform pretty well! My son is a heavy wetter so up and up isn’t really for us as it doesn’t hold enough pee.
I think Pampers Swaddlers are the best for babies, they really are so soft. But I know they are expensive. You get 20% off if you are Amazon Prime which is what we do.
Once my little guy was sleeping through the night we started using Huggies Overnights because he was peeing through his jammies (stomach sleeper + boy is hard).
We also switched to Pampers Cruisers when he started walking. I love Pampers, my little guy has sensitive skin and they smell less baby powdery than the others IMO.
It depends on the baby. I've heard that huggies have more concentrated absorbency in the front so they're better for boys and pampers have more all over absorbency so they're better for girls. However my daughter can't use pampers because she's allergic to them so she uses huggies and luvs, the off brand huggies makes. My son never used huggies always pampers and was allergic to luvs. as an off brand that i used for my son, i used white cloud and parents choice for him. My daughter is allergic to parents choice and i have been afraid to try white cloud.
When tax refund time comes I'm going to put several hundred dollars on a prepaid gift card and that will be me stocking up for baby. Last time i stocked up on parents choice my daughter ended up being allergic to them and i had to exchange them for the more expensive brands and wasn't prepared to pay the difference in price for the same amount of diapers. I say do what I'm going to do and buy little packs or use those you have been given to find the one that works best for your baby and you before buying big amounts of any of them.
