@michelle wait , no they didn't do that . It was just a normal ultrasound and they looked at everything.. which my ultrasound was fine and it ended up being a false positive. They didnt stick a needle in my stomach..

Did they stick the needle In your stomach?

Hey ladies !!! Thanks for all your prayers and words of encouragement! Everything went great , I have a healthy baby !! It was a false positive ??

What she said^^^ I was tested last week and got the results back Saturday afternoon, everything was normal. But before I tested she said do not worry these tests are always spotty and have thrown off lots of false positive! Sending prayers for you!

I'm right there with ya. My son tested positive for Downs Syndrome from my quad screen blood work. I had my anatomy scan done last Saturday and my results came back as baby is healthy! Facial/Cranial structure is normal and so are all of his major organs. Still going to consult with a genetic counselor for reassurance but just know those tests have a very HIGH rate of false positives... Many many people get a "positive" and turns out nothing is wrong with baby at all.

Thank you so much ladies!! It’s always good hearing someone else’s story &’ how you guys pulled through ???? it lifts me up in a way.. but I go in for my ultrasound today at 10:20am . I will keep you guys posted .

I had the same thing 5 years ago with my first son. We also had to do the ultrasound and he was fine. I did find out after though the same protein that indicates spina bifida can indicate preterm labour. I went into labour and my son was born at 34 weeks.

I'm so sorry to hear this. There are many different severity levels of SB. I have it and aside from being petite (4'10") and being ever so slightly bow legged (it's not that noticeable when I walk though ?), I am extremely healthy! I had a couple surgeries at the beginning of my life, but I don't remember any of it. I'll be praying for you and your baby that he/she may have a mild form like me. xoxo.

With my son my results came back 1/4 (super high risk) for neural tube defects, but he was completely fine. I hope it's the same for you!
