Ugh .. Iv only had one ultrasound . That was when I was 8 weeks , my next ultrasound will be @ 20weeks and I'm 12 weeks…

I just want to check up on my little baby to make sure he/she is doing okay and growing the right way. I fell complete in love when I had my first ultrasound done. Now I just want to keep up with the pictures and save them lol Do I just ask my doctor about a private scan ? I don't know where to go ?

That's really common. I'm in the same boat. Depending on insurance, they only authorize more ultrasounds if they think something is wrong.

I agree with @autumnwynds be glad there isn't a reason for you to need more scans. I'm 14 weeks and have had 8 so far because my son passed away from a fatal diagnosis at 35 weeks in February. 2 or 3 ultrasounds is pretty standard unless there is a bigger issue. Just consider it a blessing! :)

I'm 13 weeks and today having my 3rd ultrasound in 2 weeks. Don't wish for that because it means something is very wrong.

I had my first at 6 weeks and don't have one until 20 also! I feel your pain!! ???

Maybe it's based on where you live.... here we get one at 8,12,20 & 36

I'm 15 weeks and haven't had one at all. Twenty weeks will be my only one. It was the same with my daughter. ??‍♀️Two is pretty standard.

I'm doing a private place for this reason! I hate waiting haha. The ones around here are only $30 for basic ultrasound (not the full 3D package) so it's worth it once in a while ? Going Wednesday to find out gender hopefully!

I'm 13 weeks and finally will get my first one today and then I won't see baby again until gender scan. Maybe try and see if you a private place will book one for you. I hope you get to see your little one soon!

At 12 weeks instead they just listened to the baby's heart beat.

That is really long. Why aren't you getting one at 12 weeks?
