I read about it but I just can't figure out how to do it lol the instructions confuse me and I don't think I could even reach down there
I've never done perineal massage prior to going into labor, but I've had it done starting about 10 minutes before it was time to push and in between each push for my 3 other babies. I swear by it and feel like it helped me avoid tearing in that area each time ??. It makes sense to warm up the tissue to get it ready to stretch :)

Do you tear more the second time around or just depends? I had a first degree tear with my first but kinda getting a little nervous as I'm getting closer lol...

Basically you're reaching into your V and stretching the bottom part (the tissue between your V and your rectum).
I'm struggling with reaching down there too but DH can do it for you. I also use a vibrator.
