Would you send your child to school with pink eye?
Thanks guys! He actually had a double ear infection, go figure.
His mom, ever the delight, texted me non-stop asking for every detail of his Dr's visit, then when I told her said she already knew. ??? Then asked me to "just return him to her in one piece."
Ohhhh boy. Just 13 years left.
My daughter recently had this and she wasn't allowed back in school until 24 hours after starting the drops.
So you're ss mother thinks you abuse him because he got pink eye? That's another level of stupid I haven't heard of before. She sounds lovely ? I'm sorry you're going through that op!
Only after antibiotics have been started. My daycare won't allow a child with pink eye unless they are on medication.
No way. Too much risk of spreading to the other children. I wouldn't be happy if I knew someone sent their kid to school with pink eye. Because I know my son could easily catch it
My daughter had pink eye and her doctor said no school for two days after starting her meds. So no they shouldn't go to school.
Absolutely not.
Just a note...Our pedi says the medical field is starting to steer away from antibiotics for pink eye. When my son got it they didn't prescribe anything. I also didn't get anything when I got it from him.
Let her send a social worker than because they will laugh in her face. Schools don't want you sending pink eye kids to school. It's highly contagious just about everybody that cones in contact with the child will get pink eye. That's why they treat the entire family.
I'm in the UK and the rules at my son's nursery says that as long as he has started receiving treatment for conjunctivitis then he can be in the nursery. Personally I wouldn't send him but that is the rule that they have!
Absolutely not. I thought dd had pink eye a few weeks ago so I kept her home and took her to the doctor. Turns out she actually had scratched her eye but better safe than sorry.
Nope. Any doctor will tell you this and even give a drs note. Pink eye isn't something to be treated at home he'll need meds. Hope you took him in
I 100% agree. My SS mom thinks we're abusing him because he got pink eye and has to miss school. She told my DH to expect a visit from a social worker. ?
No, most daycare/schools have it written somewhere that kids are not allowed there if they have it. Keep them home please. Highly contagious!!
Nooooo!! And the school should send any child home that looks like they have it. That's a definite stay home from school token.
Not a chance! Not only for the other kids/teachers sake, but who wants to be out and about with pink eye?!
They should be kept from school because it's so contagious. As a parent, I'd be miffed if a parent sent their child to my kid's class with pink eye ?
What,is pink eye from?
Good morning mamas, so I been sick throwing up since yesterday and with a pink eye since Friday and today I woke up with a pink eye on my other eye so I have pink eye in both eyes now! And for my luck I have to work today just great, things couldn't get any better! 😁😒😠
School fees Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
i think my baby has pink eye :( he has his 2 month old check up on the 30th, is there anything i can do at home til then?? his eye is mucousy & drippy & has discharge. :(

What's pink eye? Public health england has no exclusion time for conjunctivitis so you can go to school with it but I haven't heard of pink eye, maybe it's called something else over here.
