Appointment today ? didn’t get a good shot of my twins because they was up and super active lol, but they’re both doing great. Baby A hb 162 and baby B hb was 160. Getting referred to specialists (high risk) oh yeah, and they’re measuring a few days ahead ?

We are on the twin train too! I will be 10 weeks tomorrow & we have our next appointment in 2 weeks. Are you being referred to MFM only bc they're twins?

I have other health concerns that cause me to be seen by a high risk doctor but my ob says she like for her twins patients to be monitored by specialists as well due to the possibility of twin to twin transfusion syndrome if twins share a placenta. My ob wasn’t for sure but she thought she only saw one placenta during my ultrasound and she wanted to make sure she saw right.

I can understand that. I would much rather have a concerned OB than an unconcerned one. I am hisk risk too for other reasons.

So they can be in 2 totally different Gestational sacs and still share a Placenta....?

Thanks PilotWife and yes, they would be considered mono/di twins which would make them identical. Also, sometimes two separate placenta’s can fuse together making it as one placenta which the risk of twin to twin transfusion syndrome can occur. My doctor literally spent like an hour explaining all of this to me lol.
