Curious.. am I the only one whose baby JUST wants mommy? This has been going on for months! He will hang out with daddy occasionally but if he wants soothed he will cry 10x harder if daddy is trying and as soon as daddy passes him to me, boom content! We even played a pass game, cry with daddy, stop with mommy etc ? it's all up to me to make this kiddo happy! On top of that I can't leave the room.. 1 I feel bad for dad 2 this makes me worried about haveing him baby sat in the future(by the way I haven't had a break yet)

My son does the same too. Always mommy all the time. Especially after his second nap and before his bedtime, it's always mommy all the time. No matter where I go, no matter how big I extend his play yard, no matter whoever tries to hold him or sooth him or play with him, all he wants is just mommy. BUT, there's another person he wants too. Nope - not the daddy, but my mom! To the point of I've got too tired of him always wanting me and I cant do anything, I flew a 3 hours flight to my mom's so that at least I can take a break! It was like 2 weeks ago I went here, and here I am again, at my mom's, the only person he wants other than me.
Separation anxiety at this age is common. But I know how much every moms want the 'me time'. Try to leave your son with someone else for at least an hour or so, and see how he goes. But the weird thing with my son is he has this separation anxiety with my mom. Everytime we're back at our home, he fusses and the only way to get him to sleep if he hears his grandma's voice over the phone. Urghhh ??

My daughter is exactly the same way. She does OK with the babysitter but anytime she's with her dad and I'm nearby, she cries

My son is super attached to me. I have only had 4 hours away from him and he was asleep for half of that.
There was nothing I could do to avoid it though. I'm his main care taker and in our house it's open floor plan so he has always had me in his view even if I was in the kitchen cooking or washing clothes. So whenever I'm out of his sight he starts looking around for me right away.

My son is the exact same. Only mommy will do and sometimes sister (she's 6). Give it time and he'll come around. My daughter was that way till she was 2 and bows she's a daddy's girl.

My little one is the same! He is attached to me. He will hang out with dad as long as the timing is right but if he sees me leave the room he cries until I come back. I have left him for about an hour whike I go to the store with his daddy but that's the only type of break I've gotten so I feel your pain!

Awwww maybe it's time to take a day away and get him used to being just with dad? I'm thankful my son is ok with anyone so far
