I had abdominal yesterday at 8 weeks. I got told to empty bladder an hour before then drink 500mls and hold.

They told me to have a full bladder for my first abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks. I have a tilted uterus so they couldn't get a good picture with the abdominal so they switched to transvaginal.

Drink anything you can keep down! Just make sure your bladder is relatively full. They will tell you to pee if they need you to.

I only had a tv ultrasound with my first, haven't needed one since. I had an abdominal one today at 7w4d. Also they always have me pee before.

Hmm, will try to drink water before the appointment. My only problem is that water makes me throw up. I have ice+ gatorade and that is the only thing i can drink nowadays.

I had an abdominal scan at 7+6. The quality wasn't great, but we were able to see the HB and get a decent measurement.

I was 7 weeks and had both- they didn't tell me to drink water BUT luckily I did because it does help with the abdominal ?

I'm having an ultrasound in a couple days and I should be 8 weeks and 6 days (maybe less if I ovulated later than I thought), but I was told my ultrasound would be abdominal as well. I wasn't told to drink water but if that helps the ultrasound tech find the baby easier I may try that ?? With baby #1 the tech could not find anything abdominally so I had to do a transvaginal ultrasound, but I was only 6 weeks and 6 days at the time.
