1 or 2?
So I thought I knew what I was doing with this but I've just had to make the decision on the phone, I could change my mind today but not last minute as they have to have the embryo glue. I have said 1 good day 5 but now I'm wondering about 2 ??. What would you girls do/are you doing?x

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

What do YOU judge Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?

I think it's a really hard decision, we did one, then 2 and about to do 2 again. If you are ok with a good possiblity of twins and a slight possiblity of more I would do two. If you are trying to avoid multiples as much as possible(even though one could split) then I would do one. Lots of luck to you!!

If you'd be okay with twins I would do two. They gave us success rates of 45% with one embryo and 65% with two, so we went for two to up our chances. Both stuck!

I was in your position a week and a half ago. We decided to go for one despite the fact I was adamant beforehand I wanted to do two. What swung it for me was the doctor told us that there are many increased risks when you have multiple births and DH was a bit scared off. Of course, millions of people go on to have very healthy twins/ triples (+) with trouble free pregnancies, but it is worth googling it just so you're properly informed. I was disappointed to only put one back but I had to respect DH's concerns. We have decided though if this cycle is a bust then we'll put two back next time (if we get that many). Good luck to you x

If you've had your embryos tested, I would do one, as you've increased your chances exponentially by putting in a healthy one. If you haven't had them tested I would do 2 based on the statistic that 1 in 3 embryos is abnormal.

I always recommend one. The first time I did it we only had 4 total so the doc, last minute, recommended two. I got twins. Whom I love but I told myself I'd never do that to myself again. So we decided to put one in at a time for the next two. And one didn't thaw well so we ended up putting two in which had me terrified. Was so relieved to see only one heart beat. I know twins sound amazing and two for one and all that. But the risks are real.

Thanks girls, still a bit confused but your input helps a lot. I think if there was just twins as a possibility i would go for 2 but the thought of them splitting again is ? x

We just had a scan where it looks like one twin is way behind now. So now I'm so glad we did two!! If we had only transferred that one this situation would be even more stressful. It's so hard to decide when you have no clue what will happen. REs need crystal balls ?

We did 1 the first time and we're going to do 1 this time too. Twin pregnancies are high risk and that's too much pressure for us.

I actually read up on this a few days ago after being told they refuse to put more than one embryo back. The literature shows that instead of the body favouring the stronger embryo, there's an increased risk of losing both. So I would keep your second embryo frozen and implant one.

We transferred 2 and I am pregnant with 1. It worked out for us.

We did 2 with our first IVF and got pregnant with singleton. Planning on doing 2 again with our FET. Our embryos were not tested.

My situation is almost exactly the same as rebecs. I was adamant about two, but the doctor was very insistent that we only do 1. My clinic has a 65% success rate with one embryo, so he was very concerned that both would take and with me being 5'3, he said I'd definitely deliver early, especially is one of the embryos splits and we end up with triplets. He explained all of the issues that can arise if I deliver too early, and successfully freaked me
Out! He also said that I could end up on bed rest for my entire third trimester. All of that being said, there are plenty of women who give birth to twins or triplets with no issue whatsoever. Good luck with your decision, I know it really is a challenging one!

First we transferred one PGS tested embryo and got zero = not pregnant.
We transferred two PGS tested embryos and ended up with one ☝️ singleton. A baby girl. I am now 22 weeks pregnant ??
I would do two, but that's just me and if it was twins I would be okay with that too. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I'm rooting for you ?

We transferred 2 and got 1 baby. We have two left frozen and will transfer them together.

If you dr recommends 1 then do 1. Just remember if it's a bad month and you transfer 2 you lose 2. My Dr said that transfering 2 doesn't increase the odds of getting pregnant.
