@lmb: maybe that just depends on your hospital- the 2 I've delivered at didn't make me take off makeup or nail polish whether I was in labor or during my c sections.
Iv just redone my acrylic I really wanted to pamper myself before the baby gets here
I would absolutely loooove to get a pedicure before baby comes this time. No manicure though cause my nail polish is always chipping and I'm not a fake nail kinda gal. My dream would be to also get a hair cut and my hair styled before I go in for my csection. I wanna look faaabulous this time around. Hahaha.
I'm pretty sure they take nail polish off during labor so they can keep a check on oxygen levels.
I can't wear polish for work so I'm treating myself to a gel mani/pedi when I finish in 5 weeks. I'll be turning 30 on Valentine's Day so I want to do something nice since I can't get s*** faced lol X
I kept trying to get to an appt for a mani/pedi, but one thing or another would get on the way.? I usually keep my nails short and natural anyway. It's easier with LOs.
My nails are growing so fast I keep it natural.
I will go and get a pedi to pamper and relax before baby arrives. My toes always stay nice longer.
I will probably get gel or Nexgen done since my polish chips a lot & my nails are naturally long. I'm a SAHM so I'm doing dishes, cleaning, cooking, etc, my nails just go through so much I don't wanna worry about messing with them for a little while once #3 gets here. Right now I'm changing polish a lot. I'm not worried about diaper cream under my nails at all, I have to wash my hands a lot.
I love my nails done as I do them myself with acrylic or gel but like pp they do actually get in the way, shorter or not it's not cool when u get nappy rash cream under ur nails :p
I usually get my hair done before baby and a mani/pedi. No gel or acrylics though, I learned from baby #1 that they are more hassle than anything else once you're home!
I'm getting my nails done for my maternity pictures (February 6th) but I'm just doing shellac and they'll be grown out by the time I deliver (February 20th) lol but I don't really mind, I'll be paying more attention to the baby than my nails lol
I'm going to pamper myself with a haircut before my shower, but nothing with the nails. I keep them short, clean, and unpainted anyway...
I'm not doing anything with mine, just cutting them really short like I used to for guitar just so i don't draw blood from anyone during labor lol :P ofc, I have RA in my hands, and Reynaud's disease which turns my nails blue, so I figure doctors may want to see if that happens. Nails are a great way to determine blood flow, so...
Yes I'm going to pamper myself up the day before my baby shower.....
I have acrylic on my natural nails and I plan to get them redone and cute shorter.
Don’t get why moms try to dilate their bodies before 39wks. Ik they get impatient but even doing natural methods is not natural 🤦🏻 ♀ our bodies are meant to carry our babies unless the doctor decides its not safe for them to be in there longer.

I had a c section before so I am wonder is it possible to have a natural successful vaginal birth ?

Natural! Who wants nails in the way when you're handling a precious newborn and changing their diaper? Might scratch the poor babes... Not to mention it's much more sanitary and comfortable. I'll grab a nice color polish ?
