I use
1.5 c cooled boiled water
1 tsp olive oil
A squirt of baby soap
And have used it since October 2012 and don't have issues with my diapers.
I have read that baby oil may not be recommended because there are minerals or something but I don't know for sure. I can't remember the site I read it on.
I use the same solution and i wash mine with the dipes and havent had any problems. I use prefolds so im not sure about washing with other types like AIO or pockets
