thyroid question
Has anyone found out they had hypothyroidism in early pregnancy and had a healthy baby?
I found out when I was 5 weeks pregnant, and my TSH count was 97.1! My endo said she was shocked I could even conceive and that I was at increased risk of miscarrying. She started me on meds immediately. DD will be 12 weeks tomorrow and is happy and healthy ?. I know I'm blessed though because if we hadn't found out so early she may not be here today.
I am really trying hard not to stress out right now but it's hard. I just feel like crying because I don't want to lose this baby either.
Thank you. Yeah I saw one midwife and then decided to see another but didn't get to go to that appointment because I had miscarried by then.
Well they tested me back in October. I was never diagnosed with it but now they are thinking that's why I miscarried so are testing me again. I never got my numbers last time until I lost the baby.
I had my miscarriage at 9 weeks last time. I never had an issue with pregnancy before but now it's like my body isn't good at it anymore
I was diagnosed with Hypo shortly after I had dd. I take Levothyroxine daily now. I have a sneaking suspicion that's why I had my mc back in November. I've done ALOT of research on this subject. I'd just make sure they test your levels and from what I understand it's your TSH that matters most. It needs to be within a certain range. If you have hypo you will most likely have some strange symptoms.
I am afraid that's why I miscarried in October. I am getting a blood test done tomorrow. Hoping if I do have it it's early enough to fix. Most there woman in my family have a thyroid disease
I have had hypothyroidism since I was in middle school. With my son they checked my levels as soon as we found out I was pregnant and had to increase my dosage of meds. My son is now a healthy 17 month old. My placenta did calcify early but not sure if that has to do with thyroid. With this pregnancy They didn’t check my levels until I was 12 weeks pregnant and my TSH was supposed to be less than 4. But it was a 31. I’m assuming it was like that the whole 12 weeks. They upped my dosage and it is under control now. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and all of my ultrasounds look good. So hopefully I have a healthy baby
Me! They put on levothyroxide(sp) in the beginning of my pregnancy along with baby aspirin. They checked my levels like 3 to 4 times during my pregnancy, I stopped taking levo around 20 weeks or so...Than put back on around the ending of my pregnancy.
I had my rainbow baby girl last February.
