My son had 4 congenital heart defects. We didn't know he had them because I declined the 20 week us because I had complications and had multiple already. He lived 17 days and he was happy. He fooled the doctors cause they said he looked healthy. After he died the coroner said it was a miracle that he made it past 12 weeks when I was pregnant. I do not regret not getting the ultrasound because he would have been taken to Seattle the minute he was born and they would have waited till he was a month old to do anything. He would have spent his whole life in the hospital.
