Yesturday dh and I were talking about what being responsible means and he says 'we're both right.' Followed by some none sense then says 'rule 1: I'm always right, rule 2: see rule 1.'

I think counseling would work wonders. You can tell you still care about him or his comments wouldn't hurt so bad. An unbiased third party is great to listen to each of you and help fix situation. Also, I would definitely recommend talking to your own doc about pod. Not saying he's right about anything, but it could make you more sensitive to every comment and let a small fight seem like end of world to you
