I would be pissed LoL.

Hubby pulled up a chair and sat beside me the whole time. He fell asleep a lot but I was so happy he was by my side.

I would be pissed to see him sitting so far away

Mine slept most of the time. But he did get me ice and sprite whenever I asked. I'm not a touchy feely person so that fine with me. He woke up for the birth though. Lol

i remember my husband waking up every time the nurse would come in to check me. He would say what happened? Is it time yet? lol He was so impatient cos he wanted to get the experience over with. When the time came to push I thought he was going to pass out like some men do. luckily he didnt he was actually surprised to see our sons hair when I tried delivering him. Eventually I couldnt push him out cos he didnt position correctly so I ended up having an emergency cs. After the Dr delivered our baby, my husband was like it was faster than having him normal. He sure was happy everything was over. Right after delivery and beening put in a recovery room, he went home to get ready for work. poor hub he had way too much.

The ONLY thing my husband could do that would piss me off while in labor is if he turns on Clash of Clans! I'll definitely throw his phone in my birth tub lol but other than that there's not much he can do than sit and hold my hand and tell give me affirmations if I'm in pain.

Give him a break, he is handling it the best way he knows how. At least he is there.

My husband was like this too when I had my first. I wanted him to sit beside me and he wouldn't. I'm going to give him hell this time around if he doesn't sit beside me.

My hubby told me with our first he didn't know what to do. A month before I was due he bought a book on husband coached child birth and it spoke all about ways hubby can help. Thankfully he took the pointers and never let my side the entire 8 hours of active labor. He sat freezing by the fan (I was melting hot) massaged my back, held my hand, etc. I felt so bad later. When our son was born he cried and said idk how you did that. (Was induced with no epi). I'm hoping to get that reaction this time! :)

My hubby was the same way but I was also in labor 21 hours so he got bored. But the couch was right by my bed so he would hold my hand or share things he was doing on his phone. Once it came time to push all the way through us being discharged he only touched his phone to talk to family!

My hubby was all pumped to try the coping techniques we learned in prenatal classes, but I ended up having 40 hours of painless labour then an emergency c-section. It was pretty boring for him, so I didn't mind him being on his phone etc. As soon as she arrived he was totally smitten and wants to help with everything

My epidural isn't working and I told him to help me stay calm through the pain and he said, "I don't know what to do."

Choose your battles. My hubby is way overly involved and supportive. I was happy he returned to work lol but then I think, what if he wasn't as supportive. I may kill him. There has to be a balance. He's a FTD so his behavior is expected. But we did talk about balancing everything yesterday.

At least he is awake my hubby slept thru the whole labor with my first. The doc had to wake him when it was time to push lol. With the others he actually kept me entertained.

Haha my hubby kept leaving my side with the first. I told him I'm surprised he was there for the birth. The second time him & his brother were playing poker at the table while I went thru contractions. He was much better this go a round. Bout time!!
