I guess this is probably a dumb question, but if I’m feeling like I have a cold, should I see my regular doctor, or my obgyn?

PCP (regular doctor). OB/GYN is for reproductive/pregnancy related issues only.

You don't need to see a doctor for a common cold because they won't be able to do anything for you. Only see one if you suspect you have an infection, but that's usually only if symptoms last for more than 5 days and aren't getting better. For a regular cold you can take Tylenol and Claritin while pregnant.

^PP is correct. I didn’t even think about that, I was just focusing on the PCP vs OB question ?

Once i was pregnant, my ob told me she was my primary care provider now and i didnt need to see anyone else but her. So id say to go see your OB because while you are pregnant she is your primary doctor. Even being that im not pregnant anymore, my OB is still my doctor.

Just call your ob office, they can give you a list of medications to take, my primary wasn’t sure what to give me when I asked for nausea pills, so I would say call your ob office, hope u feel better !!!

I have the flu, not a cold like I thought. Thank you everyone for your tips!
