sore nips Anyone else have extremely sore and sensitive nips? Anything that touches them hurts so…

Currently suffering like this and pumping sucks! But my baby girl needs it so I’m sucking it up as best as I can.. so far the past two days everytime I pump I get 55-60ml from both sides and I’m having to start storing them in the nicu fridge even though she’s not in the nicu. She’s increased her feedings on her own and the max she’s eating is about 41ml each time. She was 34w

Yep. It's normal. I wear my bra at all times as a layer of protection. In my experience, it does not get better before baby, sorry.

Yup! It doesn’t go away until you get used to nursing (like 2-3 weeks later). Try wearing a soft layer for protection, and stock up on some nipple butter, gel cooling pads, nipple shields etc for when baby gets here! There’s tons of stuff in the breast pump aisle to protect your nips once you start nursing!
