Abortion
A topic that so many women and men have so many different opinions on. I for one am against abortion totally and completely unless for 2 reasons. Either being raped or told by dr that baby would basically be in a vegitated state or wouldn't live long after birth. Even in rape i still don't see it completely okay but it's up to that individual to make that decision. What if the man didn't want the child but the mother does? What if the man wants the baby but the mother doesn't? Shouldn't he have a say since they both were not being cautious? Why do women say it's My body but have no care of what the man thinks or wants? In either way i would see adoption the best option instead of abortion. There are just some things on my mind that confuse me on how to make a decision of abortion. Everyone has their own opinion in this matter. These are just mine. What are your opinions on abortion?
@rileypants and @portera...i never said that. Maybe my words were put wrong or you just don't understand what i wrote. I never said if you are raped she had to keep the child. There are many women who get raped wind up pregnant and keep the child. I said it was her choice. I can't help that y'all can't read and understand what i wrote.
Some people dont get that the body inside their body is not their body! Women always tend to say "Its my body and I can do whatever I want with it". If it were their body they would be dead.
People tend to not be able to handle things life throws at them! Everything happens for a reason! There is a reason why everything happens! Just because something bad happened to you doesn't mean you can decide for that unborn baby that had no say in anything! Everything that happens in your lifetime is meant to happen to mold you into the person you truly are! Now making the choice to be a better person is your choice! Whether you believe God does everything for a reason or if you think its okay for you to abort just because God will forgive is a unforgiven sin, my friend! You dont test nor play with stuff like that! Deal with what God has put in your path and just wait til the end to be rewarded with the crown of life! Everyone just likes it the easy way! I pray for everyone who is for abortion! & Not just that i view it more as modern day child sacrifice! F***** up! May GOD BLESS EVERYONE! And ESPECIALLY THIS COLD WORLD!
Yes she did say that. Very ignorant comment.
A woman, gets attacked by a man. She's forced to have sex with him all while he's holding a knife to her throat. She ends up pregnant but wait, she should keep the baby because people like op's ignorant self don't actually believe this woman was victim, because somehow, she wasn't being cautious. Basically op's ignorant self is saying that it's always a rape victims fault that they were taken advantage of. Hopefully op doesn't have any daughters, because their mother would put the blame on them if something like this were to happen to them. So not only would she be an ignorant human being, she would be a vile mother.
It's funny when ppl think the man should have a say. But those same ppl will tell you that if your man tells you to have an abortion leave him. It goes both ways. For those who think a man should have a say do you also feel he should have a say and make a woman get an abortion???... Yeah I didn't think so. If a man can't force you to have an abortion he shouldn't be able to force you to have a baby. I had an abortion at 19. Hardest decision of my life! ? I didn't take the easy way out believe me. That's something I have to live with till the day I leave this earth. All I can do is pray that God has mercy on my soul. My friend is thinking about having an abortion and you can bet your bottom dollar there's NOTHING easy about even having to think about having an abortion.
I believe this is a really tricky subject. I absolutely think it should be a choice and nobody should have definitive say over anyone else's body. I do believe that in the case that the man wants the baby and the woman doesn't, it is still up to her because he could leave and change his mind at any time. And she is the one dealing with the emotion, physical, and financial trauma. If he wants a baby he can adopt. If men were the ones who got pregnant I think the situation would be discussed in a completely different light. Also, just because there is a pregnancy that someone may wish to terminate, it does not mean other parties were being irresponsible. The only way to have no chance of pregnancy is no sex and that is just not realistic for most couples. People want sex and can be as careful as possible and this still happens. We were using birth control correctly and it still happened. We chose to keep it. We definitely considered abortion because we did not know how we would financially provide for a baby. We didn't want to bring a baby into a world where it would have to struggle because that is not fair. After much discussion, research, and talking to friends and family, we decided to go forward with the pregnancy feeling we could provide for the child and give it a good life. I didn't choose to abort, but I feel so lucky that I had the option.
I don't agree with abortion at all, unless for medical reasons or rape. You are killing a human being. I would never be able to live with myself if I had one. My kids are the best thing to ever happen to me. If you have sex,you are very well aware of the consequences. It makes me sick to see women who have multiple abortions because they're not ready,or because the guy doesn't want the baby. I wasn't ready to have a child at 17,but I grew up and handled my responsibilities. Never would I thought of killing my baby because I wasn't ready. Ridiculous.
If I was in a home situation where I lived in a bad home, got abused physically and verbally and had no way of leaving.
I would certainly think about abortion. I wouldn't want to bring that child into that world. Or if I continued that pregnancy what if I got hit so hard something bad happened to the baby. If I knew my child was going to be very sick and would have a terrible way of life i would also consider it. It's the woman who is pregnant choice, not yours or anyone else.
I agree. Aborting a child because you chose to be irresponsible is ridiculous. I was taught through the public school system at 11 years old how to create and prevent pregnancy. I read somewhere that statistics show that even women who conceive from rape overwhelmingly want to keep the baby. It's a selfish and sick act.
I'm completely for abortion. It's a woman's choice when it comes to what she wants to do with her body. She may not be financially stable, accidental conception due to bad protection, rape, ect. I am adopted so I know personally how hard it is going through life not knowing who you are biologically. It's just all about responsibility. If someone is not fit to be a parent, I'd rather them not have a child than to have it, and raise it to resent the world and people. But that's me personally.
My boyfriend wanted me to have an abortion. We have been together 2 years, we both are educated and have good jobs; i have a 4 year old (previous marriage but my ex has zero rights and hasn't seen her since she was 1), 2 cats, a dog, a five bedroom house and 2 acres. We aren't married and he had a problem with that. We are stable, barely middle class...but stable. He wasn't ready and we had a plan. I went to a clinic and everything; I am totally pro choice and fight for women's rights. I couldn't do it. I explained to him the reasons why I was not doing it, he was mad, he was upset, and I almost left him. Now he is more excited about the baby than me. I cringe at the thought that I almost listened to him, and he hates that he ever even mentioned it.
Because of our relationship and my respect for him, I almost did something I didn't want to. At the same time, he understands that it is my choice so he accepted it. If you are in a loving relationship the other should understand your choice.
If you aren't in a loving relationship, screw the mans feelings. He should know going into it that it's your choice. If he doesn't like the decision, he shouldn't have had sex with you.
I am too tired to go back and see if this makes sense. Soooo, sorry about my long story lol
Because right now im about to throw up as im trying to fall asleep while my hubby is drinking and building a shed. He doesnt get a say cuz he is uneffected until the kid is born. Meanwhile i cant keep food down and have to take care of a 1 yr old on half a night of sleep. He gets a say when he carries the bowling ball they call a baby.
@directorswife that's why i posted. My husband and i agreed the exact same. Its every womans choice because she ultimately has to live with that decision but i just dont understand how the man can't have any say so what so ever even though the choice was made by both people together to have sex. Hmmmm
I feel like if you never had one you really don't have the right to talk crap about it. If you don't agree with them don't have one it's really that simple. No the man has no rights as far as I'm concerned. He isn't holding or birthing a child. I will never EVER understand why adoption is so glorified but abortion is "murder" adoption isn't always this beautiful thing and a woman who gives her child up for adoption is no better than a woman who had an abortion. When you have a baby you are responsible for that baby. Instead you chose to make the world responsible for your baby. They both had an obligation to the child and they both neglected it just in different ways.
I had an abortion when I was 16 after being raped by my ex boyfriend. He was abusive and very controlling, that's why I broke up with him. When I found out about the pregnancy I told my sisters and parents. I told them how I felt and why I didn't want the baby. It was a hard decision and a very painful process but it was the best choice for me. I didn't want anything to do with the guy and I didn't want anything to link me to him. My parents made me tell him about the pregnancy and abortion. He understood why I did it but held it against me. He has hate me ever since and this was back in 2002. There are days when I think how my child would have looked, or how old it would be if I hadn't had an adortion. It's something that has always always caused pain. But I know that if I would have had the baby, we would both have been miserable. The baby would have been a constant reminder of a painful event.
I believe abortion to be a woman's choice regardless of situation. If it's not affecting my life in any way, I have no say whether or not she should do it. If she is with a man(or woman) who does wany the child, I believe she should voice her reasons and they should sort it out. But once a woman says she wants to abort a child for whatever reason, that is on her.
Personally, I'm completely against abortion when it comes to using it as a birth control. Being raped, a victim of incest, or the possibility of the mother or baby being harmed in the process of pregnancy are reasons I understand. Personally, I don't think I could ever abort my child no matter how it happened. At the same time I see a double standard sometimes because a woman can force a baby on man and say she wants it so he has to be a father and if he doesn't uphold to her standards he's a deadbeat but if the scenario is switched around the father can want that child more than anything and have him/her ripped from life because of the woman's selfishness. Again, this is just my opinion.
Everyone deserves compassion, including the unborn and women who choose abortion. A baby is a living person with a soul from the point of conception. They deserve a chance at life, they've done nothing wrong. Even if he/she is conceived from as a result of a terrible rape it's not the baby's fault. Even if they have a disability or deformity they are still a human being with dignity and good things can come from their existence. That's why choosing to have sex is such a big deal, you might create a life who has just as much of a right to live as you do. It's a huge responsibility. So I'm pro-life. Even if a woman is weak and makes the choice to terminate a pregnancy, if she is sorry God will forgive her. While I think that abortion is wrong I also very much think it's not my job to judge anyone for their choice.
It's 100% the woman's choice and NOBODY has the right to say otherwise. I personally would not get an abortion but I would never shame another woman or tell another woman what to do with her body. Who are you to tell a total stranger that was, let's say raped, that she HAS to keep the baby? What if you were raped by your uncle and became pregnant? Does that make you reconsider your stance? Ultimately we are who we are and will believe in what we believe in, but we can't tell other people what to do with their bodies if we live in a progressive democratic humane society.
A woman has absolutely NO OBLIGATION to keep an unwanted child ever..and to not even believe that rape is a reason to abort is ridiculous. That is an assault on a woman's entire being and nobody has any right to do that. She did not consent and therefor did not consent to the consequences of what could occur from sex such as a baby. If that rapist gave the mother an STD does she have to keep that as well? Absolutely disgusting. People need to worry about their own bodies and their own lives not what goes on in someone else's.
Pregnancy can be physically, financially, personally, and emotionally devastating for some women when the pregnancy is unwanted whether its her fault or not. Thats why women shouldn't be subjected to 9 months of slavery if they dont want to be. Obviously adoption is great if thats what she wants but life isnt pretty and no one she make medical decisions for any woman other than herself. Women can be physically run down for 40 weeks, fired or demoted and get no recourse, lose family and support, or develop emotional problems from an unwanted pregnancy. Abortion wont fix all these but a woman needs to be able to make that choice as a solution for herself, since men dont have to deal with any of this, they dont get a say.
Hey preggies! Anyone expecting a boy planning on circumcision or no circumcision? And what made you make your final decision on either?...
I was reading an article. It said that 67% to 85% abort their child when they find out they will have down syndrome. What is your intake on this? Would you abort or no? Honestly? No rude comments. We are all entitled to our opinions ☺
I just wanted to start a discussion. What is everyone's opinion on abortion? I'm bored and would like to have an open conversation about this because it's a big topic now a days.
I’m sorry but I’m still not circumcising my son 🤷🏽♀️ and I don’t care what anyone has to say about it either cause it’s not right to me. That’s their decision to make.
Saying things like ...if you don't agree with abortion then don't have one is like saying if you disagree with child molesting don't molest any children lol .. What? If a baby growing in the womb is a human baby then abortion is murder and the murdering of innocent human life is everyone's business! Sex is a choice it's not cancer! Saying things like a women doesn't have to be a slave to a fetus lol what? The women could choose to not have sex! And save the rape argument because rape accounts for LESS THAN 1% of abortions and the morning after pill can be taken for up to 5 days after sex! So unless you were locked in a basement still there is no excuse! AND the human child in the womb doesn't deserve a death sentence for the crimes of their father regardless. I have a 8 month old.. If my husband brutally rapes me today from this day forward my baby will be a reminder of him .. Can I kill my baby? The pro choice logic is so ridiculous!
