@Buffy I used an apartment locator. I tell them what I want and that I have a misdemeanor 8 years ago and then she sends me a list of apartments in the area I'm looking to move to. Here's Texas prices have went up so that was my biggest dilemma. One that I can afford without issues in a good area and bigger than what I have now. It has helped a lot along with prayers from los of people and myself included I believe I've found it. Plus there are still lots off apartments out there that the locator and apartments.com don't have! I was amazed!

I'm not sure how apartment/house hunting works in your area, but the most useful tool i ever used was apartments.com or some kind of similar site. It allowed me to find places that fit my budget and had the amenities that I wanted. If you haven't tried that, maybe give it a whirl and see how you like it. It will probably alleviate some stress for applications too. You can see what each company is looking for as well. Best of luck!!!!
