Meh. Personally I do not find the abrahmic god to be the kind of guy I wish to solicit help from... so, thank you, but I will pass.

I'm not a Christian and I take more of a "pray by doing" rather than a "pray by asking for myself" mentality about it.

I find prayer in helping others.. I find prayer in working the land, caring for crops, honoring the seasons, caring for my family.. to me prayers are more about what I can do for others, what I can do to make this place better..

I don't find asking a god to do things for me or to help me to be all that prayerful/selfless to me.. I feel like prayers should predominantly (though maybe not ENTIRELY) be selfless.

Maybe that is just me.

And, just a friendly reminder.. before you go judging people to be the devil and rebuking them.. u may want to take a gander at Matthew 7:1-2. ;)

I don't believe God is evil because i don't believe there is a god. I've been in church and around Christianity for most of my life. If Jesus were going to get in my business he would have done it already. Don't hold your breath for that apology.

Listen here you don't have to believe you. can think that God is evil but right or wrong Jesus is fixing to get in your business and your fixing to see him for yourself and you tell him this and then you come back on here and apologize to everybody for what you said. How is this a just god?

I don't have a god. I don't consider myself a god in any definition and you sure as hell hold no position over me due to your beliefs. Since you can't defend your stance without referencing a book I'll use something said by Sam harris. Either god does not have the ability to stop pain, starvation, catastrophe or he does and chooses not to. The only other option is that he does not exist. Therefore god is either impotent, evil, or imaginary. You want to talk about how great and mighty he is and only a prayer away. Well what about all the failed prayers? Are you so confused to actually believe there aren't innocent children out there with a terminal illness or starving to death who pray everyday for any kind of help at all only to receive nothing. You need to get out of the bubble you're living in. All you have to defend this position is a chapter of the bible that you interpret to mean through god we have the power to heal? Well you Christians are failing pretty badly because guess what. There are still plenty of children out there not getting any better.

And i will tell you this, my God is a mighty and Powerful God and he is a just God, a righteous God, and he is our judge he is a God that wants justice! I don't know what your god is or does but i know mine and what he is and does.

We do hold a position over others. The ones that are not God's children. The ones that choose to live their lifestyle over God's lifestyle. You can judge the sin not the sinner! And if your doing the same sin i wouldn't judge on it because your going to be judged too.

Ok so it's obvious that you didn't read the entire chapter. It stated in 82:6 ye are "gods" and states we are his children as referring to we his children are gods ourselves. If we are gods ourselves then we should be doing something about it to. If his children actually did what he wanted to do they would have the powers of God and help and heal any issues. These are choices that man makes. God gives everyone a choice. Either people choose to live full in him or fully not. There is no half way. And if your meaning on both sides of the fence, well we already know what he said about us being lukewarm.

No I'm not a god seeing as psalm 82 refers to "gods" as a person holding a position of authority over others. For example a judge. It's not referring to being a god with the power to answer prayers or heal the sick. If I were that god I would help these people in a heartbeat. Any god who has the power to do so and fails to do so is an unjust god. I fail to see what psalm 82 has to do with anything I've said. You love to dodge everything I say. Rather than responding directly to my comments you attempt to draw attention away from my points by responding with some comment out of left field that is completely off topic.

Do you think there are no starving and homeless children begging for god to help them? Do you think there are no parents with dying children or loved ones or dying themselves praying to god for help? Of course there is. The majority of these people will die or suffer a loss anyways. I wouldn't say that means help is only a prayer away.

What exactly are you trying to say then?
