Buy ones and two that's what they'll be in the longest

I won't be buying many newborn ones, since babies in my family tend to be out of them in a week (if they fit them at all). I'll be buying the 3-6kg (size 1, I think). Planning to get a few months worth, since that'll be up to 12/13lbs.

also a good place is if you register at baby's r us, put the diapers on your register and 10wks after your due date they'll send you a gift card. great if I can't find sales bkus I've been buying diapers and wipes once a week.

I got a couple nb four size one six size two and now starting on the bigger sizes

I found a blog off baby center about a mom who documented her diaper and size buying for her two children born at average birth weight. And I have been basing my buying off of that. I believe I have about 6 packs of newborn. 6 packs of size 1 and 2 packs of size 2 so far. I also have to large boxes of size 1-2 from Costco. I also try to buy the jumbo packs. Incase I don't need that many of any size I have bought so far I know I can exchange them for the size I need. I also use coupons on all jumbo packs I have bought.

I'm planning on buying 3 boxes of newborn and 2 size 1. My babies are pretty little though so I'm getting a lot of small diapers. Baby #1 was 7lbs 14oz and wore newborn for almost 2 months and baby #2 was 6lbs 1oz and wore newborn for almost 3 months.

That specific target deal is over :( but now they are offering 5$ gift cards for certain kinds.

Size 1 & 2... dont use newborn, hospitals usually use size 1 too..

The gift card idea is a good idea. I've been told some babies can have allergies or reactions to a specific brand of formula or diapers so I'd be worried if I got a brand that I couldn't use in the end.

I have all my diapers already from birth to potty trained :-) only needed 30! We went cloth again and couldn't be happier. $600 got all my cloth diapers and wipes and will never have to buy them again. And can resale them for about 50% retail when I'm done with them. Love cloth!!!

Sz 1. They out grow nb so fast

I stock up on all sizes 1-3 because my baby's never fit newborn size!!

We have gone for one sized washables that go from birth to potty training and as we bought them 2nd hand it's cost us £40 fir 20 nappies instead of over £200! Will also be using disposables at the start as the first poo is black and horrid! I've already volunteered hubby for first changes!

Yeah I think I am going to do the same and stay away from newborns for now. My husband was 12 pounds and surpassed newborn stage so I have so far a jumbo pack of 1,2 and 3 and I think I will get more 1's when I see a good sale. I like the gift card idea! I might have to do that as well. I did take advantage of the buy two boxes of diapers get a 20$ gift card through target and an additional 10$ off for in store pick up. Great deal!

I'm going to start getting gift cards for like 20 here 10 here and saving them just for diapers and formula it seems a lot easier then you don't have to worry about sizes and will have what you need when baby gets here!!

With every paycheck I'll grab one package. Just mixing up the sizes. My son only fit into newborn diapers for a week so I'm not going to buy any of those... I know someone will for my shower

With my dd I had 2 boxes of size 1 ready obviously depending on baby's weight they won't be in them very long so I bought more in size 2 x

I'm 24w and I started a few weeks ago. Got 4 boxes of newborn a mega of size 1 and regular box size 1. I also took advantage of the Target sale. I'm not buying anymore diapers just wipes.

Target had a deal on big boxes of diapers. Buy 2 get a $20 giftcard. So I bought pampers... 4 boxes, 3 size 1 and a size 2 because they were out of 1's. Im a little over 17 weeks.
