First time

So I'm wanting to try cloth diapers but I'm wanting reasons why I should , my husband has a hard time changing diapers so I'll probably do disposable and cloth 50/50 , what are your experiences ? Love them ? Please and thanks :)

We use hypoallergenic soap when washing her clothes and no dryer sheet so we don't worry about her being allergic to her soap , we don't wear perfumes either because she hates them lol thanks ladies if there's anything else please comment

I think that's a great idea.

It sounds like she is super sensitive, if she doesn't react to the laundry detergent you use then you shouldn't have any problems with cloth nappies.

I purchased cheap outer nappies online, and was lucky enough to find inserts crazy cheap on clearance at my local baby shop.

It's good to shop around aswell, mine are newborn to 1year. They are quite bulky.

I have smaller ones which aren't bulky, but I find I have to change her more often.

Right now she gets rashes from luvs diapers , pampers, parents choice she leaks every time too, and for wipes they have to be water wipes hypoallergenic or it's rash city , so I mean I'm thinking that these will be perfect for her , I'm gonna see if our local kid vents has any for sale prob this weekend :)

I've used them for three babies, going on fourth round. I've used disposables for out and about, or when my washer broke down.

Buy at least a day's worth, or look for a rental place. Some baby stores have trials... so like 7-10 changes.

Reasons?

Cheaper in the long run. Even buying the expensive, wonderful AIOs that are easier than disposables.

Use for multiple babies, or resell.

Fewer blowouts. Really.

They DO NOT make your hydro bill super high.

No garbage.

They do not stink as much as disposables.

Never run out, just wash.

Cute.

I recommend Velcro for babies, and snaps for toddlers. Toddlers can take Velcro off, with interesting results...

Some say that they don't get diaper rash with cloth. This wasn't true in our case, it took awhile to find the right amount and type of detergent for one of the babies. The other two were fine.

I found some on amazon that are cheap and the reviews are really good I wanted some that aren't crazy bulky like I've seen some be , my lo is prone to rashes which is one reason I've been thinking about switching , my friend cloth diapers and hers are so bulky on her baby she doesn't wear a lot of onesies or pants

Hello, I've used cloth nappies since my babies birth in May 2017.

I do use disposable nappies when we are out and about.

If your husband prefers the disposables because they're easier to use, get "Modern Cloth Nappies"

These are what I have and they are great. We have saved ALOT of money with reusable. Make sure you research the pros and cons.

You WILL have to clean these. I bought a few because I'm lazy and wasn't keen on washing them every day. They can be VERY expensive but if money is your main influence, look around online mine were all on clearance.

I absolutely love them and have a system that works perfectly for me. Thanks to a few days of trial and error. ?

That's a good idea. Being a mom is stressful enough, so take it easy on yourself! Plus, for each time you use the cloth, you didn't spend money on a disposable so you'll save money in the long run regardless of whether you stick with it.

I'm wanting to start with four and if they work out my mom wants to make some for us (I'm not holding my breathe on that one though I'll either stick with just the four or buy more myself) I just go through so many disposable ones so if I can do cloth ones and make them last longer that'd be so much better for us money wise

We've loved cding and have a system that works for us. But, there's no rule about having to exclusively do it or not at all, so do what works for you! Maybe get a few to start with and see where it goes from there. Your husband may come around and be fine with it or he can just keep using disposables and you can use cloth when you feel like it. No rules!
