The only one I've been to/helped organise I was a bridesmaid and we split the costs between the bridesmaids and maid of honour.

When we went to bars everyone just got their own drinks.

No. I've been in numerous weddings and that's never been the case. Everyone pays for themselves. Except the bride to be. Typically the bridal party all chip in and pay for her.

No. At the ones I've been to all the hens (attendees) pay a little more to cover most of the cost of the bride to be. Although she usually contributes something too. It can't be left up to one person!

If you go out to a bar, no. Everyone buys their own drinks. But traditionally, yes. Maid of honor foots the bill for everything.

Are you going out? If so, heck no! Everyone buys their own drinks. But if it's at your house or hers then yeah you're stuck with the bill unless some bridesmaids want to help.
