Moms w/ babies that have eczema!!
My cousins 12 month old has pretty bad eczema and the doctor gave her Triamcinolone but it's not helping him. Is there anything else that helped your babies? She uses baby detergent for his clothes too.
I use renew lotion from Melaleuca on my son. He has really bad eczema and it's been the only lotion that has shown results of working for him. It's helped with him not itching anymore, lightened up his patches and helped heal the skin that he itched so bad that he caused scabs to form.
My daughters and I all get it in the winter. Showers every second day, no baths. And pay dry, don't rub. I use Aveeno baby eczema care body wash in the shower on both of them. My oldest has it the worst and she has a prescribed medication that I use all over after her showers. My baby has a prescription as well but just because I don't like using a steroid on her skin, I mix hers with Live Clean Eczema lotion. Both of them stay fairly clear as long as I am consistent with it. If I forget to use it for a few days, they both start to flare up again.
One of my twins has severe eczema. I'm talking bumps covering her from head to toes. Triamcinolone didn't work for her either. They were ready to give me a referral for a dermatologist before one of the nurse practitioners suggested lathering her in a thick coat of Vaseline and putting her in a thick closed footed long sleeve onesie and leaving her like that for one hour a day. It was to help trap moisture in and keep it on her skin. Apparently it's an old pediatric dermatologist trick. I was also using Aveeno's baby daily moisturizing lotion on her twice a day. It helped tremendously!
I'm interested in that goats milk soap because I've never tried that and maybe it's more affordable than what I swear by which is CeraVe cream.
Nothing else has worked for my kids but since using that after every bath no more flare ups. (Been 2yrs now and my oldest would bleed from scratching).
My son has bad eczema. I usually bathe him everyday but only use soap every other day. And I also put lotion on him while he is playing in the bath. Then get him out, pat him dry and put on this eczema colloidal oatmeal salve that actually found at dollar tree. I'll put him in his pajamas and he'll wake up with improved skin and super soft skin as well!
I also occasionally will give him children's zyrtec when it's super bad.
My son got it pretty bad this winter my dr had us give him a bath with a tiny bit of bleach YEP bleach I was like ummmmmm no thank u but the amount is so small there is no harm to the baby and seriously after the 2nd bath it was almost completely cleared up. We use aquaphor nightly on spots here and there.
I checked their website and they have so many different kinds. Do they all work for you or is there a specific one you use??
ETA: never mind! I found the one that's for eczema. Lol

See if there is a pcca associated pharmacy nearby and ask them if they have on hand or can make methylcobalamin (b12) cream. Or Xematop cream.
My husband is a compounding pharmacist with PCCA and made this cream for my children who suffered and it literally cleared overnight.
My son scratched until bleeding and it has saved him and saved his sleep because he was waking to scratch.
Hope that helps.
