Does everyone with GD have to be on Insulin?

Arms are sore from these insulin injections

Does anyone have tips on making insulin injections less painful? Sometimes the needle won't go all the way into my skin and hurts and sometimes the insulin itself stings. When I practiced at the docs office, I didn't even feel it. Idk what in the world Im doing wrong now...

Does anyone have gestational diabetes and takes insulin shots?

I started the insulin 4 night ago and have had to keep upping my dose.. sugar levels in the morning aren’t getting lowered.. doctor told me to take Insulin between 9:30 and 10 and check it between 6am and 7am not to eat anything within those hours and it’s okay to drink water.. I usually eat dinner by 6:30-7.. am I doing something wrong?? Any advice
