birth control
Well i experienced my first ever miscarriage and my husband and i want to wait atleast a year before adding another bundle we want to enjoy our son wait til he is older before having more. I want to do the depo but dont know what ttc after will be like. I refuse to put anything inside my V. But obviously the pill didnt work. Any ladies have experience ttc after the depo how long did it take? Or what other methods do you know that womt make ttc difficult when were ready
I would do the nuva ring but am very allergic. Has anyone ever tried the patch? I feel like a high school girl just learning about birth control lol. Ive only used the pill and nuva ring. Ive used the depo in the past but got off of it way before i was ttc my son(wasnt sexually active for 2 years). So i have no idea the effect it would have if i tried ttc after missing my shot.
I've had 2 very different differences post depo.
1. My depo wore off in Nov 2012. Had a period nov, Dec, and Jan 1 2013. I concieved a healthy boy around January 15th born Oct 2013.
2. Depo wore off march 2016. Period didn't start until may. Got pregnant that month, miscarried June. Got pregnant again July, miscarried August. Had 1 normal 28 day cycle, got pregnant in Sep and had my healthy June baby
I'm using the nuva ring. There's no side effects or possible risk factors like the iud and it's pretty easy to use. It works like the birth control pill, that's why I chose to use it, with the pill it didn't take long for us to get pregnant so hoping it's the same with the next, we are waiting till next year to ttc. I feel like it's more effective than the pill bc you don't have to worry about timing as much. I'm sorry for your loss. Early losses are tough.
Fertility awareness method ? and condoms on the days you're ovulating. My husband and I will be doing that once I'm done breastfeeding and my periods are regular again. For now we're sticking to condoms. FAM is the best option if you want to conceive too, because you get to know your body and the days that you can/can't get pregnant. It's 100% natural, free, no side effects, and very effective when done correctly with both preventing and planning pregnancy.
