Don't feel guilty! Especially if it's allowing you to rest. With my first the nurse said if I was planning on getting and epidural to go ahead and get it when they started getting more uncomfortable- don't wait until you're in agony - she said "don't be a hero" if you're already planning on getting one. No one is judging :) I'm planning on getting one this go around too
Update: i feel guily getting my epidural now, they checked me after i got it and was already a 6cm they popped my water, i feel knowing that they werent that strong i could have made it to the full 10cm. But i am now taking advantage of the fact i feel no pain i am going to try and nap before i dilate more and have to push.
Thanks ladies. Im currently on hr 3 of pitocin, contractions are tolerable, but because i literally have only had an hour of sleep in 24hrs, i am getting the epidural so i can get some rest, since hubby won't be here much when baby is born imma need the rest. I am terrified of the epidural my first and only experience was the worst one ever. I am praying it will be ok this time.
Congratulations!! ?
