my cervix is magic ladies
Sunday i was a "good 6cm dilated 50% effaced -3" yesterday i was 5cm dilated 70% effaced -3, today i am 4cm dilated 70% effaced -1!!!!! The doc i have in today tells me well other just may not know??? Like if thats the case why are they doctors? Im sorry you dont mistake a 6 to a 4? I tell her i feel i need to push with every contraction that it hurts, and that being half way to 10 im scared to be at home. And she tells me well his head is super low i can give you that atleast. And that she has seen women at 7cm last for weeks til their baby comes. The next closest hospital is 2 hrs away. I call the one thats only 10 min away from here but they cant take me and told me that this hospital cannot due what they have been per state law. But everytime i bring it up here they all of a sudden have a new document stating what the doc said was in the notes!!! Idk what to do, im terrified for my son and myself. I guess my cervix is a magic one and defeats science and dilates and undilates.

They do, but he had told me as much as he would love to move things along and since its not his hospital or his rules there isnt anything he can do. Not til im 37 weeks. He personally called me tonight told me to get checked and then come see him kn Thursday. He hates this place as much as i do lol
I see my ob on thursday. As soon as he checks i will stick with his results, he has never let me down so i trust him with my sons life and mine. I hate doctors these days, i knkw as of right now the hospital is upset cause this is my 3rd day here. And i told them to get used to it because i will not put my baby in danger because they are lazy.
Mine cervix is also "magic" only not as extreme as yours. I go between a 0-3cm and 50%-100% effaced depending on the doctor checking. I asked my main OBGYN and she said it's because all fingers and hands are different. That's why at my hospital once your in "active labor" only 1 doctor will check you so it stays consistent. Have you talked to your main OBGYN. I would be demanding better care. I'm so sorry your going through this mama.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

What Does 50% Effaced Mean in Labor?
im 5cm dilated and 50% effaced..what does the 50% mean??.
Had my cervix checked (at hospital) on Sunday 1cm dilated.... go today my doc says I’m not dilated at all . Ummmmmmmmm 🤷🏾♀️
Are there any effective ways & things I can do to help soften and dilate my cervix faster? At my appointment my doctor said I was MAYBE a fingertip dilated and 60% effaced.
I can't even go to the other hospitals in town. L&D will only see me at the hospital my doctor practices at. I guess that's why I was confused.
