My current situation. After all the emotions i had yesterday at 10:45pm i started contracting every 5-10 min about 1-2 min long, took a procardia, eased the pain but didnt sleep much. This morning at 11:30am i noticed them to be really strong and about 2-3 min apart about 1-2 min each. Got here almost an hour ago and already 4cm dilated. They will check me again at 2:50 if ive dilated again imma have a baby today:) wish us luck. 36+2 today:)

Update: this is os detailed for FTMs, my view on a contraction, im currently at 6cm, i stopped timing my contractions since im at the hospital, i know they are about 1 min apart, but seemed to have gotten shorter in length, the pain is tolerable, feels like i am having a period thats going wrong, about every 1 min. I feel the pain start on the top of my butt then it moves upfront right above my pubic bone. I gets lots and lots of pressure at the opening of my vagina with every contraction, and feel i need to push, kinda like a really hard bowel movement, when the Contraction about to stop it slowly eases up with a sense of relief throughout my body, and stops in my back where it originally started. As for baby he is moving around, his kicks arent as much as if i wasnt in labor, but he still is. He tends to kick the most right at the end or after each contraction. I still am refusing meds, or epidural, i know i will 100% not get an epidural, but as for pain meds by IV i will play it by ear. I do have an alright pain tolerance, not extremely high but not super low either, with my last baby i had pitocin which was super painful and had an IV med, this time i havent had anything except antibiotics since i dont know my GBS results. If labor stops my doc will start pitocin. My husband is at home until i become an 8cm, so he can watch kids, we have it arranged that they will all go to his moms when the time comes, and he needs to be here. I will keep posted, but i figured especially with FTMs who are wanting to know what labor feels like, this is my experience and how i currently can describe it.

Contraction questions
I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
Super weird I lost like 3 pounds at my apt today. Still only 1-2 dilated but 50% effaced. Slowly getting there like at the speed of a turtle.
PROGRESS: 70% Effaced dilated to 1 1/2 its not 2 but I'll take it. he said something about the baby's. head at -2 idk what that means lol. But since I'm. due saturday he scheduled an induction for the 23rd if I go that long. I honestly don't think I will...
Having contractions every 3-4 mins since 4:44 ima try to wait them out BC last time I was having contractions 3 mins apart I wasn't dilating any but I was a finger tip and at my last appointment I was a full centimeter dilated.
