A milk clog from each boob last time I pumped. Anybody else getting these? I try to drain my boobs as much as possible and still get these things all the time (usually not this large). I read something about milk thinners one time, should I ask my doctor about them? Or will it make my milk not have the fat baby needs?

:O exclusively pumping, never had anything like this.

I've read that lecithin helps prevent clogs and I think it actually helps increase the fat content in your milk. I don't think you need a prescription I think it's just a supplement .

I **think** lecithin also increases your supply!! So be careful if you're already over producing ?

Are you drinking enough water?

I THOUGHT I was drinking enough water but maybe not. I'll try to drink more.
I just ordered some lecithin! Hopefully it helps.

It doesn't really hurt when the clogs come out. Hurts more when they're in lol. My boobs just give me all kinds of problems.

I got clogged for one day it was painful. I massaged, nursed a bunch, took a hot shower, nursed laying down to get a different latch and drank a ton of water and it was gone the next day. When you're dehydrated you're milk gets thicker and you're more likely to get clogs.

I'm definitely drinking more water! It seems since I got those huge clogs out I'm able to pump more milk so that's a good thing! I was only getting 2 oz and I was wondering what was going on.
